I live with 4 retired ladies. Yes, it's hilarious at times. It's also quite educating. They're all really nice people, too.
One of them, I can SEE her physically lock up when I start talking about diet. She is experiencing macular degeneration, inflammation in her joints and is slightly overweight. I dont push any agenda on her, but I let her know I'm around if she ever wants to talk about it.
I watch her eat at least 4 pieces of white bread, covered in cheap honey, every day. This is, without a doubt, affecting her health.
A conversation came up today between her and another resident about golden milk, the turmeric filled ayurvedic drink of anti inflammatory legend. She was interested in trying that. Sure! Do it! Another good habit is always encouraged.
But diet is what's gonna make the difference. Removal of the problem foods is critical. It's the only way to really start regenerating your health. How do you do that? An elimination diet is a great plan, but first, ya gotta want it. Just like they tell addicts, you have to want to get better.
