This this the truth! My friends, stop avoiding fruit to lose weight! Hold up! ⠀⠀ I have to brag on one of my clients today 🙌🏽 ⠀⠀ Before we started working together she felt discouraged and wondered if her efforts were even WORTH it. Her negative body image was getting in the way of her work, and stress levels were consistently high. She was exercising when she could, planning meals, and counting every calorie. But she was not seeing the tiniest bit of weight loss or muscle tone. It was hard to keep putting in the work for nothing. Ultimately, she wanted a better balance! ⠀⠀ 12 weeks ago she signed up for my 1:1 Coaching program. ⠀⠀ She was now armed with a PLAN built around her lifestyle, goals, and needs. My first #WineWednesday in LA 😁🍷 With that, I wanted to talk about something super duper important. Drinking wine & getting in shape. . Well, drinking any alcohol or enjoying any tasty food, and getting in shape. . You’ve probably heard that you can’t do that - ya know enjoy life & experiences bc of fitness goals. . And that makes me extremely sad. . And it's why I talk so much about doing fun stuff (drinking, having tasty food, etc) while still accomplishing fitness goals. . There are way too many amazing experiences that stem from having some drinks or tasty food, to let being uber strict with fitness come in the way. . The goal is to have fitness be a part of your life, not your entire life. . Get in amazing shape while still enjoying the finer things. 🍷🍕 . And it's entirely possible. . Yes, you have to be disciplined, work hard, and change some habits to lose fat, build muscle, and look/feel good. . But it doesn't have to come at the expense of missing out on life & the great opportunities around you. . That's my personal goal in life - be/stay in really good shape but enjoy the hell out of life. . And my goal for you. . Lots of steps, lots of wine, lots of food, lots of fun.⁣ ⁣ I think you have a much better chance at success with nutrition when you don't needlessly complicate the shit out of it.⁣ ⁣ Second, I think you have a waaaaay higher chance when you see it as more than just a diet, good versus bad, black versus white etc.⁣ ⁣ You're going to be the average of all your decisions across the year(s), and not that one pizza you ate, workout you missed or walk you didn't take because you're being a lazy git.⁣ ⁣ Trivial as it sounds, the pizza and booze from my holiday last year doesn't matter today, and this won't matter next year.⁣ ⁣ As much as life is more than one big "diet" (it sure as hell is), why not put yourself in a position to feel good about yourself?⁣ ⁣ Cut the shite food after a stressful day at work and reap the benefits, so that when it's time to indulge, bloody enjoy it.⁣ ⁣ I don't personally know that many people who can relax and enjoy indulgences without guilt, but it's my aim to get people as far away from that mindset as possible.⁣ at New York, New York

Well done to client John for working hard over the last 12 weeks to achieve this great transformation. When I first invested $10k into my online fitness coaching business. . ⁣✨⁣ I didn’t just have the money sitting in my checking account.⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ I was nervous and my mind IMMEDIATELY reminded me of all of the reasons why I “shouldn’t” & why I should “wait until I am more ready.”⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ Because just like you, I have other things to take care of in life like rent, dental care, things for Jayden, other business investments, groceries, etc. . You get the picture.⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ But the thing is, I didn’t say “Oh I can’t afford that.” and stop there. .⁣⁣ Instead, I sat down and asked myself “How can I make this work? What do I need to do? What can I shift around? Where can I cut back?”⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ I got honest with myself about what I REALLY wanted.⁣⁣ I re prioritized.⁣⁣ I shifted some things around.⁣⁣ I focused on the big picture, & I made it work.⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ Sometimes you have to let go of your control to know the “HOW”, & just trust that by following your “WHY” everything will work out.⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ Like for me, I had no idea what kind of return I would get on my $10k investment. But I knew that my results were up to the work I was willing to put in & I was ready to dedicate 100%.⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ I also knew that investing and taking the leap was the one thing that would amplify my current results and services as a coach, and therefore amplify my clients results & experience as well. ⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ And same thing goes for you in your fitness journey...⁣⁣ ⁣✨⁣ You feel nervous about investing because you have no idea what the outcome will be. . This is the look I give when you tell me you aren’t taking Opti Greens 50 _ When pursuing the best results possible there are certain things that absolutely have to be paid attention to. Of course your workouts, calories, and macros are a few things that may come to mind right a way. But, there are other factors you’re probably not considering that greatly impact how effectively you burn fat and build muscle. - Let’s talk Chronic Inflammation...This is where your body “overreacts” to stress, food, and poor lifestyle habits. _ This alone can prevent muscular development. And can cause obesity. (Side note the more lean muscle you are able to build the more fat your are able to burn. You following me?) . Stress Processed Foods Different medications imbalanced hormone level Alcohol Are all reason for chronic inflammation _ At this point you’re probably thinking ok...I fall into 1 or all of those categories so....what’s the solution? _ Thats a great question and I’m glad you asked. . First I recommend eliminating the majority of processed foods from your diet. Eat more leafy green veggies and Whole Foods. . Do to the fact you won’t get a sufficient amount of nutrients through food alone, my other recommendation is a quality greens supplement (Opti Greens 50) that has ingredients which help with inflammation. You’ll also get digestive enzymes, phytonutrients and probiotics to really improve your gut health. (Everything starts in the gut bro) . Personally Opti greens are an everyday go to for me. Carrying weight on my gut always really bugged me... Clothes didnt fit properly.. I always looked pregnant, it used to make me feel like crap especially when your getting ready for a night out. #Repost @treamer with @get_repost ・・・ It's not easy to post the photo on the left but it's been an amazing journey over the few years since that was taken. This is was me at my very lowest point. I was drinking regularly and eating poorly. I have slowly got better since then, fully reversing prediabetes and fatty liver disease. It's really been the last couple of months where everything has come together since I went full carnivore. I have eaten nothing but meat, cheese and eggs. Drunk nothing but espresso and water. Dropped 4 inches off my waist and gained 3 on my chest - without doing any exercise other than 90 minutes walking each day. In total, I have lost over 25kg and I am feeling more comfortable in my skin than I have done in a very long time. I recommend checking out @shawnbaker1967 , @kendberry.md and @paulsaladinomd for more information on the carnivore diet. Once you get going it's so simple to stick to. Much easier than a general ketogenic diet. I eat between 1 to 2kg of meat a day until I feel full and have zero cravings at all. I am only sharing this for motivation. Usually around febuary my new years resolution of weight loss would fly out the window. I would slowly start giving up. One thing I first started to notice about training for strength when I began, were the endless amounts of parodies there are to a better, more noble life. . There are plenty of studies to show the improvements in cognitive enhancements from strength training not to mention how much more confident we become with consistent training, we develop a solid foundation to carry heavy load. While our minds become sharper, our bodies change into solid machines telling the world that we are ready. . To many, the weight lifter will seem like just another tough guy, arrogant and intimidating, especially when lifting with fury. He may come across as a non-intellectual or “meat headed” that only cares about himself and his ego. While some people like that do exist in aspects of life, this portrayal of a strong man usually comes from fear and insecurities of the weak. . For the most part I have only ever come across intelligent, strong minded yet humble people in the weight lifting community. . I’ve met some of the worlds strongest men that just happened to be some of the nicest and most humble people I’ve ever met. . Some of the worlds best & most ferocious fighters are the nicest and most humble of people. . This is because these men have developed such skill and confidence that they now have nothing to prove to the outside world in day to day life. . What is overlooked, and almost always envied, is that fact that these people set forth and overcome challenges each and every day. . The more we do this, the easier life becomes. . Whether it be a heavy set, or just getting yourself to the gym when you don’t necessarily feel like it, it does a lot more for the mind and will than just getting a muscular body. .
