Day 44: I pretty much ate the same as yesterday. Breakfast same, lunch same,and for dinner... I binged yai, at the last minute. I broke my fasting again. I'm going to start again and hope I can get on track with this because fasting has helped me Soo much. I don't want to return to the same... I'm not going to return to the same. ✴ Set up during a sumo deadlift is a very crucial step of the deadlift! Are your feet aligned evenly? Your hips? The direction of your toes? If not, repeated movements in a position of improper alignment can do you serious damage in the long run. During the deadlift, your goal is to keep your chest high and remember to lift with your legs (not your lower back)! This means your spine should be kept neutral (flat) during the entire movement. 🚫 hyperextension at the top of the movement and 🚫 lumbar flexion while picking the weight up from the floor. Squats, the king of exercises. The squat trains the entire lower body, your quads, glutes, hamstrings and even the calves. Not only that, it strengthens your hip and lower back as well. Which means lower chances of injury! What you may not know is that your entire upper body is involved in the movement as well! Your chest, shoulders, arms, back and abs are also working to stabilise the weight. So you’re not strengthening just your lower body, but also the upper body in some ways as well! This is a very solid compound movement and you haven’t included it in your routine already I strongly recommend you to! It’s one of the best exercises out there to train your legs. 👍🏻

I was HORRIFIED when I saw this while going through my workout video 😱 • For a moment I got so disappointed in myself. WHY did I let myself get like this? How am I going to inspire other women with THIS ugly body?! • And then I called it QUITS on my NEGATIVE SELF TALK. And told myself I am BEAUTIFUL. • I studied the picture and thought of all the things I’ve been through in my life that led me here: 🛑Pain from my parents divorce that I didn’t realize affected me—i mean I was 6... I love my parents sooo much but this was hard for me 🛑Sexual abuse when I was a child that led me to eat my feelings to regain some sort of control in my life (even though I didn’t know it at the time) 🛑Being told when I weighed 190lbs at 5’11” that I should wear high waisted jeans to “cover up” my (non existent) love handles by someone I barely knew... and there’s more but to spare you time... • I became a serial DIETER as I got older 🥦🍗🥦 • Yeah...that was a vicious cycle that NEVER worked... Cut calories—binge—cut Carbs—binge—don’t eat Fats—binge....it was never ending • I use to feel like I NEEDED to ALWAYS be on diet to stay in control—Anything trendy that came along I wanted to try. And when I was off that diet, I would slash all 4 tires. • I’m so grateful that I found a mentor that convinced me there was a BETTER WAY!! You need to start tracking your calories on a daily basis to assure you are consistently taking in enough calories. Use the app MyFitnessPal to track calories. _ STRENGTH TRAINING 3-5x/Week🏋️‍♂️- in the gym your focus needs to be on getting stronger. Stick to your compound lifts and progress them weekly. Your focus should be on improving your form, enhancing your ability to engage the intended muscle, and getting stronger with the lift. _ SLEEP 7-9 HOURS 💤- hitting the weights is only half the battle. The other half is RECOVERY. You MUST be sleeping 7-9 hours every night to allow your body to recover and grow. Get in the habit of going to bed at the same time every night, and waking up at the same time every day. Your body runs on patterns. Work with your body, not against it. _ STAY CONSISTENT❗️It’s not enough to just hit your daily calories a few times during the week. No, you need to be doing so 7-days a week. This allows you to break down the muscle to the fullest and allowing a full seven days before working that muscle again to fully recover. Recovery is key in bodybuilding. This will help prevent overtraining, from working a muscle to much in one week. Almost all trainees whose goal is to gain mass can benefit from using this type of training. However, the 5-day splits will probably benefit a more experienced trainee than one who just started because an experienced lifter is more primed to handle the amount of workload 5-day splits impose upon the body. Trainees who will benefit the least from this kind of training will be those whose aim is only to gain strength, such as the powerlifters. Working out five days a week is calling out for overtraining for power lifters since they will not have enough time for recovery. The 5-day splits can be used for both mass gaining and fat loss training. For those whose goal is fat loss, 5-day splits are definitely a good choice. By training five days a week (along with cardio), trainees will lose a lot calories and thus priming for fat loss. As you can see, it is versatile as it allows many different training techniques and exercises to be chosen from. It's about HOW it's spent in the gym. A person that is trying to grow and gain muscle while remaining lean is much more different than a marathon runner per say. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you are wanting to build muscle and lose fat then intense workouts is key in obtaining your goal.
