My glasses may always be crooked but my HORMONES are on point! 😂🙋‍♀️⠀ ⠀. Yup I said it. GIRL TALK here: most women struggle at some time in their life with feeling “hormonal” or fighting mood and energy dips around a certain time of the month. Our hormones affect everything ...fertility, PCOS, PMS, peri menopause, mood, our skin, energy. The list goes on. ⠀ ⠀. Knowing how much clean eating had helped me with my FERTILITY issues (🙌🏻still thanking God for these miracle babies!), I knew I wanted to find a program that focused on CLEAN EATING after pregnancy. I have people ask me what my favorite part of the FASTer Way to Fat Loss is. That is a tough question because I love it all, but probably my favorite part is eating 😂 I love to eat and with this program I am eating more than ever and still getting leaner and losing fat. I want to empower women to enjoy eating again without guilt! Food is not bad, food is fuel for our body. In the FASTer Way, we : •choose the right food (focusing on whole foods and cutting out processed foods and tracking macros: fat, protein, and carbs, not just calories) •eat at the right time (using intermittent fasting and carb cycling) • eat for the right reason (to fuel our bodies! Take the time to read all of Toni's story. What she has to say about focusing on nutrition over workouts is spot on!! Amazing job, girl!! "You can’t out-workout a bad diet. I don’t think I had ever honestly even heard that saying until about a year ago. And I thought to myself... well I sure have been trying!! I have worked out my entire life, teaching group fitness in some capacity for the last twenty plus years, running marathons, lifting weights, etc. etc. I would often times work out twice a day – running in the morning, and doing weights over lunch. Working out was my ‘permission’ to eat whatever crap I wanted, whenever I wanted it. And that’s what I did. Until it all caught up with me. After a shoulder reconstruction two years ago, I was just getting to the point where I felt confident doing a push-up when I started having knee pain. I had a scope done in March 2018, then because I am invincible ;-), ran a marathon in June, and ended up with a stress fracture on my foot, on my ‘good’ leg. Not being able to work out, I could just feel myself getting heavier. With the knee pain back as well, I knew I had to do something. It was summer, I love being outside in the sun, in the water, but hated seeing myself in a swimsuit. That’s when I reluctantly signed up for the FASTer Way. Little did I know… That at the ripe old age of 43, I would end up having a total knee replacement in November of 2018. I thank the heavens above that I found the FASTer Way when I did! And my only regret, is that I didn’t start it back in March when I first thought about it! Do you wake up hungry every morning and think there's no way I could do intermittent fasting? That used to be me! Before and After: Food Edition. • The first picture was a typical and consistent “lunch” for me before the #FWTFL. 🙈 To me, it was lean, healthy, and low in calories just like I liked it. • The next several pictures are typical lunches since starting the #FWTFL program. When my husband is away on business travel or events, I still try to plan out meals for the week ahead. However, I don’t need to prepare as much food to eat, and I certainly do not want to eat the same thing day-after-day. So I created this week’s menu by thinking through four things: 1. The FASTer Way meal plan (I will have 2-Low Carb & 5-Regular Macro days) 2. Left-overs & fresh produce to use up (I have Turkey Breast, Chicken, Shredded Cabbage & Green Onions) 3. While the family enjoys tacos tonight, I will be eating this fabulous low carb taco salad. Instead of ground beef, I crumble tofu, sprinkle it with taco seasoning and bake. I then top my salad with the tofu, onions, lots of avocados, dairy-free cheese, and the hottest salsa I can find. Delicious! It’s time..... TIME to take control and advocate for your health and wellness! I have been getting comprehensive hormone blood work done for about 2 years. When I first started with that journey my blood work came back horrific. My hormone levels were all over the place. Did you know that it takes years for your hormones to balance out after having babies? Not to mention, 3 babies, multiple miscarriages, and high stress/high risk pregnancies! Every factor of those can alter your brains chemicals and your body’s hormone levels. My first blood work showed my testosterone at a staggering low, (yes women need testosterone) my Cortisol levels were scary high, blood sugars were elevated, blood pressure was high, heart rate was high at a resting state. I was a mess! I was giving myself injections into the stomach daily to help regulate all the numbers. I did this for over 1 1/2 years with bi monthly blood work and I didn’t see much improvement in the numbers or how I felt so I decided to stop it all back in October of last year. . I have been living the FASTer Way lifestyle for 4 months now and I had my blood work done last week for the first time since on this program. I could have fallen over when the doctor said “your blood work is impeccable!” He was just as amazed as I was. He didn’t know that I had stopped all the injections and that I was doing intermittent fasting, carb cycling paired with intentional workouts and that I had cut out all gluten and dairy from my diet. He didn’t know that I had researched and come to believe and embrace eating clean whole food nutrition. When I told him what I had done, he had no words...... all he could say was “WOW, GOOD FOR YOU”.... I am doing what I’m doing as a coach to help spread THAT far and wide. It’s not a business to me or a way to make an income, that’s an added bonus. I am so moved by how food healed my gut and my blood that I simply cant sit on that info. Happy low carb day!! Thanks to my coach mentor Stacy Davis for the inspiration to try a hamburger bowl. This has a burger, two pieces of bacon, mixed greens, dill pickles, and a ketchup/mayo mix drizzled on top. Very satisfying!
