In both of my Olympic lifts Only JERK was the main weakness..... Until NOW. 📌Box Jump. . 📌Why perform? 👍🏻Great and Simple Power Exercise. 👍🏻Once you've learned to land correctly and absorb force (yes this is important) this is a great variation to start jumping/Plyometrics with as the box brings your landing height up reducing the overall landing forces. 👍🏻Can be a fantastic neurological primer exercise for a session including Squats. . 📌Key Coaching Cues: ➡️Stand with feet hip width apart. 'Max effort' lower body First ever play with the yoke bar, I gripped wherever I could and just went for a single with 140kg,presuming the bar is 20kg, as it was bloody terrifying (very wobbly) but fun. 🏋🏻‍♂️ . What was your training like today? #tuesday was slightly less volume for me today but a quality session nonetheless✅⚔️ . Starting things off with seated box jumps and establishing a max height 🎯 hitting a max of 54”💯then completing 5 sets of 3 at 85% . Second phase was focused on developing RFD further by utilising speed-strength base movements but keeping the percentages a little lower👌🏻🏋🏻‍♂️ the sets were as follows: . Hang Power Cleans - only up-to 70% 2 x 4 @ 75kg 2 x 3 @ 83kg 2 x 2 @ 92.5kg The focus here was on the stability and mechanics of the movement - particularly when transitioning through the reps🏋🏻‍♂️💪🏻speed being one of the obvious coaching quest when it comes to catching the bar💨 . The last video was the conditioning element trying to keep each of the intervals as short as possible and trying as hard as possible to keep the efforts within the Anaerobic Glycolytic energy system☄️ . 4 Rounds of ▫️21 Cal Assault Bike ▫️15 Russian KB swings ▫️9 Burpees to 6”s ▫️30 sec Rest between rounds .
