New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation on Thursday requiring state Boards of Education to “include instruction, and adopt instructional materials, that accurately portray political, economic, and social contributions of persons with disabilities and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals.”New Jersey is the second state to mandate LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum in its schools. California passed the requirement in 2012.Wrote the governor’s office in a press release: “This law would require that LGBTQ Americans, as well as Americans with disabilities, are included and recognized for their significant historic contributions to the economic, political, and social development of New Jersey and the United States. Specifically, this legislation would add LGBTQ people and individuals with disabilities to the existing list of underrepresented cultural and ethnic groups, which are covered by current law related to inclusion in textbooks and other instructional materials in schools.”Said Executive Director of Garden State Equality Christian Fuscarino: “It’s critical that our classrooms highlight the achievements of LGBTQ people throughout history. Our youth deserve to see how diverse American history truly is—and how they can be a part of it one day, too. I’m thankful to Governor Murphy for making New Jersey the second state in the nation to have a law promoting LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum.”The bill was sponsored by Senators Loretta Weinberg, Teresa Ruiz, Assemblypersons Valerie Vainieri Huttle, Mila Jasey, Joann Downey, and former Assemblypersons Reed Gusciora and Tim Eustace. #followersfree #followersreal #comments🎵💗 #explorepage😍 #explorepage❤️ #explorepageworthy #lgbtqrights #commentsplease #explorepage✊🏾 #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #kindcomments #followers #explorepage #lgbtqpride #explorepage#lgbtqcommunity #lgbtq🌈 #lgbtqplus #followersinstagram #comments😻

The US Supreme Court is allowing the Trump administration to go ahead with its plan to restrict military service by transgender peoplewhile court challenges continue. The high court split 5-4 on Tuesday in allowing the plan to take effect, with the court's five conservatives greenlighting it and its four liberal members saying they would not have. The Trump administration had urged the justices to take up cases about the plan directly, but the court declined for now. Those cases will continue to move through lower courts. The lawsuits challenging the policy were filed in 2017 by civil liberties and gay and transgender rights groups on behalf of current transgender military service members, including some deployed overseas with decades of experience in the armed forces, and transgender people aspiring to join the military.Until a few years ago service members could be discharged from the military for being transgender. That changed under former President Barack Obama. The military announced in 2016 that transgender individuals already serving in the military would be allowed to serve openly. And the military set July 1, 2017, as the date when transgender individuals would be allowed to enlist. But after Trump took office, the administration delayed the enlistment date, saying the issue needed further study. While that study was ongoing, the president tweeted in late July 2017 that the government would not allow "Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the US Military". He later directed the military to return to its policy before the Obama-era changes. Revised policy In March 2018, the Trump administration announced that, after studying the issue, it was revising its policy. The new policy generally bars transgender individuals from serving unless they serve "in their biological sex" and do not seek to undergo a gender transition. #lgbtqcommunity #commentsfirst #comments😘 #explorepage😍 #lgbtq🌈 #explorepage#followersreal #explorepage✊🏾 #autocomments #comments😻 #lgbtqfamily #comments🎵💗 #explorepage❤️ #lgbtqpride #lgbtqplus #followers #followers10000 #explorepage🔥🔥🔥

The administration's policy reversed a 2016 decision by Obama to open the military to transgender service members. It prohibits transgender people from military service, but allows those who are already serving and those who are willing to serve in their 'biological sex' to do so, reports the New York Times. Many people are completely and utterly appalled by the transphobic legislation. One person who pretty much summed up everyone's frustration and anger is US senator and former army colonel Tammy Duckworth. "When I was bleeding to death in my Black Hawk helicopter on that dusty field in Iraq, I didn't care if the American troops risking their lives to help save me were gay, straight, transgender, black, white, male or female. All that mattered was they didn't leave me behind. If you are willing to risk your life for our country and you can do the job, you should be able to serve-no matter your gender identity or sexual orientation.Today’s decision is disheartening not only because it will help the Trump Administration discriminate against an ever-shrinking portion of our population who are willing to serve in uniform, but also because it enables the Administration to further disrupt to our military and weaken our national security.I hope the Court takes up this case and loudly and clearly tells the Administration that this sort of discrimination has no place in our military, and I hope my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in Congress will send the same message and show our servicemembers that we have their backs.I wasn't sure whether to high-five you or applaud. Either way...Thank you as an American and fellow DAR Daughter." #explorepage😍 #explorepage#followers #comments😘 #comments💙 #explorepage✊🏾 #lgbtqfamily #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #lgbtqyouth #lgbtqrights #followersreal #followersig #comments😻 #lgbtqpride #lgbtqlove #lgbtqcommunity #jualfollowers #explorepage❤️ #comments🎵💗 #lgbtqsupport #followersinstagram #lgbtq🌈

On Saturday morning, after social media and the mainstream media had castigated the kids from Covington Catholic High School for supposedly harassing a Native American veteran near the Lincoln Memorial, a story that was later found to be specious, leftist California Congressman Ted Lieu, who went to a Catholic high school, decided to pontificate to the boys and their school that they were not acting as good Catholics should.Lieu tweeted, “Dear Covington Catholic: I went to a Catholic high school and am a follower of Christ. Jesus taught us to act in the exact opposite manner of how your students behaved. I will pray for your students and hope that as they mature, their hate can turn into love.”Forget the fact that Lieu, in his rush to judgment, had no desire to wait and see exactly what facts would turn up later that might contradict his assumptions; for all of his posturing about being a good Catholic, Lieu is a staunch supporter of abortion, having earned a 100% score from NARAL Pro-Choice America. And just where does the Catholic Church stand on abortion? Let’s illuminate Lieu, who brags about his Catholicism, on the subject: The Catechism of the Catholic Church reads: Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person — among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life … Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law … Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty excommunication to this crime against human life. #lgbtqpride #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #followersig #lgbtqsupport #followers #comments😻 #lgbtqrights #explorepage❤️ #explorepage😍 #comments💬 #comments😘 #jualfollowers #followersfree #lgbtqcommunity #lgbtq🌈 #lgbtqplus #comments🎵💗 #explorepage#commentsizesbelow👇👇👇👇👇

Karen Pence, the second lady of the United States, has recently taken a job as an art teacher at a virulently anti-LGBTQ school in Virginia. She had previously held this position but took a sabbatical after her husband was elected Vice President. As a congratulations gift, an LGBTQ nonprofit sent her 100 copies of John Oliver’s children’s book about a gay bunny. However, this book isn’t about any old gay bunny. It’s about Marlon Bundo, the Pence family’s pet rabbit. The bunny was immortalized in a children’s book written by the second daughter and illustrated by Karen Pence herself. At the same time, John Oliver released a parody of the book titled A Day In The Life of Marlon Bundo. In Oliver’s version, the rabbit marries another boy rabbit. This past Thursday, the Trevor Project announced that it had sent Pence 100 copies of Oliver’s book to the Immanuel Christian School, where Karen Pence teaches, with a letter stating that they hope it will be worked into the anti-LGBTQ school’s curriculum. The letter read…“Policies and rhetoric that exclude or reject LGBTQ youth can lead to increased risk for suicide and depression, and it’s our organization’s mission to end suicide among LGBTQ young people. With your help, we hope you will change your school’s student and employee policies to accept LGBTQ students and employees.”According to Vice…“Per Immanuel’s ‘parent agreement,’ the school refuses to admit and would possibly expel students if they or their families are found to be ‘participating in, supporting, or condoning sexual immorality, homosexual activity, or bi-sexual activity,’ citing a passage from the Bible that calls homosexuality an ‘abomination.’ Immanuel’s application for faculty contains similar language, prohibiting any prospective employee from ‘homosexual or lesbian sexual activity, polygamy,’ or having a ‘transgender identity.'” #lgbtqpride #comments😘 #comments🎵💗 #explorepage#100followers #followersreal #jualfollowers #comments😻 #lgbtqrights #lgbtqlove #explorepage😍 #commentsizesbelow👇👇👇👇👇 #explorepage❤️ #lgbtqyouth #lgbtqsupport #comments💬 #lgbtqcommunity #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #lgbtq🌈

What … what is he even suggesting?I can’t imagine why. The fearless defenders of First Amendment liberties at the ACLU are also laser-focused on Karen Pence’s rights.Stipulate that “we” don’t want to live in such a country. What solution do they recommend to this knotty problem? Suing Karen Pence so that she can’t take a job teaching art part-time at a traditionalist Christian school?I think that’s what John King is trying to get at it in the clip below. The idea is that American taxpayers, who of course include gay men and women, shouldn’t be forced to subsidize government perks for a quasi-official who’s chosen to join an organization that discriminates against them. (Whether the school would be willing to hire someone who’s attracted to the same sex but who eschews sexual activity is unclear from its stated policy.) But instead of arguing that Pence should somehow be blocked from taking the job — how? — King toys with the idea of cutting off those perks. The chief one of which is security to ensure her personal safety. W-w-w-what?And why would this thought occur with respect to someone as marginal as the vice president’s wife and a teaching job, of all things? The media spent many months chattering about the Muslim travel ban proposed by Trump on the trail in 2015. He was lambasted daily for it by lefties. But I don’t remember ever once hearing that we should maybe reconsider whether to fund his Secret Service protection since, after all, American Muslims are among the U.S. taxpayers covering the cost of it. It’s weird that Karen Pence’s affront to gays would draw a suggestion this draconian when Trump’s various demagoguery doesn’t.Via the Free Beacon, here’s the clip. Note the puzzlement by reporter Olivier Knox. I think the broader left is at a place right now with respect to Christian education roughly equivalent to where they were with border security 10 years ago. #comments🎵💗 #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #explorepage😍 #followers #instacomments #lgbtq🌈 #100followers #lgbtqplus #lgbtqpride #explorepage#explorepage❤️ #jualfollowers #lgbtqcommunity #explorepage #explorepageplease #followersreal #commentsonly #comments😻

It didn’t take long for progressives to turn on Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (Hawaii) after she announced Friday that she was throwing her hat in the ring for 2020. Her cardinal sin? Not only did she previously hold anti-gay views—she actively worked against the LGBT community through her father’s organization, The Alliance for Traditional Marriage and Values, in the early 2000s.In years past, she several times referred to LGBTQ activists as “homosexual extremists,” a view that echoes that of her father, Mike Gabbard, whom a New Yorker profile of the congresswoman described as having long been “Hawaii’s leading opponent of the gay-rights movement, an energetic and often brusque activist who stood ever ready to denounce what he called ‘the radical homosexual agenda.’”Gabbard was a visible force against same-sex marriage, and in 2004 spearheaded a fight in the state against a same-sex union measure. “To try to act as if there is a difference between ‘civil unions’ and same-sex marriage is dishonest, cowardly and extremely disrespectful to the people of Hawaii,” she said at the time. “As Democrats, we should be representing the views of the people, not a small number of homosexual extremists.”Gabbard then also blasted Massachusetts’ passage of same-sex marriage legislation, making it the first in the nation to recognize gay marriage. Speaking on behalf of the Alliance for Traditional Marriage and Values, a group headed by her father, she said the Massachusetts marriage law would cause a ripple effect across the country.Taking a page from former President Obama’s playbook, Gabbard is now saying that she has evolved on the issue and since being in Congress has worked to advance LGBT interests.“First, let me say I regret the positions I took in the past, and the things I said. I’m grateful for those in the LGBTQ+ community. #followersfree #followers #instacomments #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #lgbtqsupport #comments😻 #lgbtqlove #lgbtqpride #comments🎵💗 #followersreal #explorepage#explorepage❤️ #lgbtq🌈 #followersig #explorepage #explorepage😍 #100followers #lgbtqrights #lgbtqyouth #commentsplease #lgbtqcommunity

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is now spreading a homophobic conspiracy theory that originated with MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle about Sen. Lindsey Graham being blackmailed by Trump over “something pretty extreme.”Using her verified Twitter account, Omar wrote of Graham, “They got to him, he is compromised!”Earlier this week, and without any evidence, Ruhle closed a MSNBC segment about Graham’s support for Trump with the media/left’s latest form of McCarthysim: “It could be that Donald Trump or somebody knows something pretty extreme about Lindsey Graham. We’re gonna leave it there.”Everyone knows what Ruhle is referring to, which is why she was comfortable saying she would “leave it there.”For years now, rumors have swirled that the never-married 63-year-old Graham is a homosexual. Ruhle wanted to get this rumor swirling as a means to punish Graham for his energetic and effective support for Trump of late, and it worked…Ruhle was probably following the lead of Jon Cooper, chairman of the Democratic Coalition, who tweeted about Graham’s “pretty serious sexual kink”Or maybe it was unemployed comedienne Chelsea Handler.Regardless, this coordinated smear is straight-up homophobia, the use of homosexuality as a pejorative and weapon. And we know it’s a smear because 1) Graham has said he is not gay and 2) even if he was, no one would care. How do you blackmail someone for being a homosexual when no one cares?Joining the sexual McCarthyites this week is Rep. Omar, who decided to further this conspiracy theory without citing any evidence. But it could be she’s too busy supporting Louis Farrakhan and defending her anti-Semitic comments about “the evil doings of Israel.” Fox News reports that the freshman congresswoman is facing some blowback for her homophobic smear of Graham, but it is obviously not coming from the establishment media:is the Media Fair too Trump? #lgbtqsupport #followersreal #explorepage😍 #commentsizesbelow👇👇👇👇👇 #lgbtqlove #explorepage#lgbtqcommunity #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #comments😻 #explorepageworthy #instafollowers #lgbtqpride #lgbtqyouth #comments🎵💗 #instacomments #100followers #lgbtqrights #followers #lgbtq🌈

The partial government shutdown became the longest funding lapse in U.S. history today, as it dragged into its 22nd day.The partial federal government shutdown is in its 22nd day, which makes it the longest gap in American government funding ever — The New York Times. That beats the previous record, under President Bill Clinton in 1995, of 21 days.In total, there have been 21 gaps in government funding since 1976, though the level of shutdown has varied. The current federal shutdown is a partial one, as many agencies were already funded through this fiscal year, which ends in September.GLAAD tweeted earlier this week: As we’ve hit now three weeks of the Donald Trump government shutdown, GLAAD wanted to point out what this shut down could mean for the LGBTQ community, specifically – the federal workers who are currently furloughed and going without a paycheck.A 2012 survey found that 13,600 federal employees identified as LGBTQ — GLAAD.Hang in there folks. #explorepage#explorepage😍 #lgbtq🌈 #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #followers #100followers #lgbtqcommunity #lgbtqsupport #lgbtqrights #explorepage #comments💬 #comments😻 #comments😘 #comments🎵 #lgbtqlove #lgbtqpride #lgbtqyouth #comments💙 #commentsizesbelow👇👇👇👇👇 #followersfree #comments🎵💗

GESAFFELSTEIN RELEASED A new collab with The Weeknd recently, called ‘Things We Lost In The Fire’. You can watch the video below if you feel so inclined. As most people know, when it comes to his lyricism, The Weeknd is all about riding. Listen, that’s his business. While this new song follow a similar suit, there’s one verse in particular that people are taking issue with.In the second verse, The Weeknd sings: “You said you might be into girls/You said you’re going through a phase/You said you might be into girls/Keepin’ your heart safe”.He goes on to talk about a potential threesome, which you can read below.English songwriter Marika Hackman was the first person to bring it to people’s attentions.Marika, an LGBTQ artist herself, was supported in her criticism by Irish singer-songwriters SOAK and Villagers’ Conor O’Brien. Here’s the thing – it’s understandable why some people might consider this cherry picking or an over reaction, as many of The Weeknd’s straight-identifying fans have. However, beyond being incorrect, it is ignorant in 2019 to put forward the idea that sexuality is a choice.Concerning the argument of fetishisation, imagining an encounter in which a woman is only interested in others in a sexual capacity to add shock value is, at best, lazy songwriting, and at worst, bi-erasure.At a time when well written fully formed LGBTQ+ relationships do not get fair representation across pop culture, presenting this as original and contemporary is insulting to those who strive for it.This isn’t going to seem like a big deal to someone who is straight because it doesn’t affect them. But what about everyone else? It’s a gross trope that we’re seeing less of, but as this shows, artists can still find ways to deride the LGBTQ+ community and pass it off as “entertainment”. #comments😘 #explorepageworthy #comments😻 #100followers #commentsplease #lgbtqsupporter #explorepage🔥🚀 #lgbtqlove #lgbtqcommunity #explorepage#lgbtqpride #followersfree #lgbtq🌈 #comments💬 #comments🎵💗 #followersig #followers #lgbtqyouth #explorepage😍 #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #lgbtqrights

Nearly three years after the controversyover North Carolina’s “bathroom bill” hit fever pitch, the legislation’s impact on the Tar Heel State lingers.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has scrapped plans to film a new series, "Thank you @netflix for allowing LGBTQ Series“OBX,” in North Carolina. Though the coming-of-age drama is set in North Carolina’s Outer Banks (or OBX), producers are opting to film it in South Carolina partly because of the remnants of House Bill 2.HB2, signed by former Gov. Pat McCrory (R) in March 2016, prohibited transgender people from using restrooms that align with their gender identities. The bill sparked an instant backlash and was condemned by everyone from Hillary Clinton to Bruce Springsteen, who nixed a performance in Greensboro over the legislation.HB2 was partially repealed and replaced by HB142 in 2017. The replacement, however, maintains a provision prohibiting municipalities from passing any ordinance regulating private employment or public accommodations. In other words, it bars cities from passing their own nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people or enacting measures raising the minimum wage or protecting workers. At present, this provision will remain in place until 2020.  A Netflix spokeswoman told HuffPost the streaming network had no comment but confirmed that “the law was a factor in our decision not to film in North Carolina.”“The decision to film in South Carolina is final,” she added, “and it’s worth clarifying that we never started production in North Carolina.” A number of LGBTQ advocacy groups and individuals applauded the news.Among those to express disappointment over the decision was “OBX” creator Jonas Pate, who previously worked on “Friday Night Lights” and “Aquarius,” among other shows, and is a resident of Wilmington, North Carolina. #lgbtqyouth #comments😻 #100followers #lgbtqrights #explorepage😍 #comments😘 #lgbtqplus #lgbtqpride #lgbtqsupport #followersreal #explorepage🔥🚀 #comments🎵💗 #lgbtqlove #explorepage🤩 #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #commentsplease #followersfree #lgbtqcommunity #lgbtq🌈 #explorepage

Rapper Cupcakke is reportedly under medical supervision at a hospital after posting suicidal messages on social media. The Chicago native, whose real name is Elizabeth Harris, tweeted Monday night that she was “about to commit suicide.” She shared the message on her Instagram, adding, “Thank you for everything y’all have done for me. I really appreciate it.”Her friends, fans and fellow performers were obviously worried, with more than one person reaching out to Chicago P.D. for help.According to BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, a Chicago Police spokesperson said Cupcakke was tracked down and taken to a hospital for a “mental evaluation” rather than injuries. A representative for Cupcakke has not yet responded to Yahoo Entertainment’s inquiry.Cupcakke’s comedian friend Elijah Daniel was one of the people who saw her message online and reached out to the authorities. He then tweeted updates during the ordeal to keep people apprised of the situation. Many celebrities also responded to the performer’s public plea, including comedienne Kathy Griffin  and fellow rapper Iggy Azalea, who posted that she understood how “hopeless and overwhelmed with negativity we can sometimes feel.”Popular with the LGBTQ community, Cupcakke is known for her sexually explicit songs, as well as ones about body positivity. But she’s gotten darker on songs like “Pedophile,” in which she sings about a 15-year-old who was abused by a man 10 years older. She told Dazedmagazine in 2018 that she draws from her own painful experiences for her music.“Being homeless, living in shelters, dealing with over-aged, older men that hit on me … all that is in the music,” she shared. “Because I’m not the only one who should know this. The world should know this. The world should know it, so that the next girl will know how to deal with it when the situation comes to her. #comments🎵💗 #comments😻 #lgbtqsupport #comments💙 #lgbtqrights #explorepage🔥🔥🔥 #explorepage🔥🚀 #lgbtqcommunity #lgbtqpride #comments💭 #comments🎵 #lgbtqlove #comments💬 #followers #explorepage😍 #commentsizesbelow👇👇👇👇👇 #followersig #explorepage#lgbtq🌈 #lgbtqyouth #comments😘 #followersaktif #followersfree
