So Much Stuff...😬 As you can see in the first pic, I bring A LOT of stuff with me out onto the gym floor. 1. Barbell Pad 2. Workout Log 3. Phone 4. Towel 5. Water Bottle 6. Resistance Band I ALMOST need a little bag 🧳for it all. THEN, in the next pic I BRING a lot of stuff to the gym. I’ll show you sometime, but I bring running shoes, lifting shoes, coat, BCAAs, all the other stuff mentioned above and other randomness. Good grief 🙄, I like move-in everyday I go. Yesterday, I said to myself "Stop. Just stop." I put down all my Psychology work and went to my #pilatesmat 😀 You see, I had gone from doing #pilatestraining 5 times (5 hours) a week last year, to once (1 hour) a week this year due to my Psychology studies starting again with much larger volumes of work compared to last year. Form is everything . It's the deciding factor between a really good workout and a so-so one; so if you're unsure about your form, here are a few tips . 1. If it begins to hurt, stop doing it (sans DOMS, that's allowed - we like that type of pain 😊) 2. If it's something else someone has made up on a whim without the proper expertise - everyone's body is different so what works for others might not work for you, listen to YOUR body 3. If it's involves some type of jerky movements; granted these work for most of the professionals but that's often after their warmup, if you do it without the proper warmup, you could pull, sprain or even break something . So, yes in all exercises that you end up doing in the gym, be watchful of your form - you might think you're fine for the time being but doing irreparable damage to your body in the future .
