This is still a pretty fresh look for the page so we’ll abuse the superfood to get your attention.
We chose spinach for this time, the green veggie that shrinks when cooked! A little history background on the green leaf, it was first identified in Persia (ancient Iran and nearby countries), found its way to India, then China before being spread in Europe through Spain. It has been called by ancient agronomist as the “Chieftain of leafy greens” 👑
Does spinach deserve such a prestigious title? 🤔
Well, it has been lately been shown that it actually is a superfood! The veggie being very filling, is also low on calories. That’s a win-win for whoever wants to lose weight. Spinach is rich in calcium, iron, vitamin C (100 g of spinach will fulfill 34% of your daily need!), and more. Obviously, spinach is green, aka rich in Chlorophyll. It has been shown that Chlorophyll can reduce the number of tumorous cells in your body when facing a modest amount of them.
Be careful though as Chlorophyll will increase the tumor if it is very abundant (aka individuals with cancer).
Spinach will lower the blood pressure levels, increase your bone strength 💪🏽 , enhance digestive regularity, and will take care of your hair and skin (👋🏼 acne).
