DOES ANYONE ELSE “GET” THIS? 💁🏻‍♀️ I’ve been overweight on and off my whole life—yet I remember looking down at my belly + legs FOREVER and thinking, “WHOSE BODY IS THIS?!” I literally felt TRAPPED... like an alien living inside someone else’s body. 🙈 I felt like I was living in a home I didn’t belong in. I deeply admired my athletic friends or celebrities, yet my natural tendency was to sloth-it-up and use food for happiness. I felt like I didn’t fit in anywhere, and was miserable in my own skin. 😭 . I tried all the things. You know the ones—weight watchers, calorie counting, low fat, starving all day to binge at night, cardio for days, weight loss shakes, BLABLABLA. Everything worked for awhile, but left me feeling deprived, so I would yo-yo right back up to my unhealthy, uncomfortable weight. 💔 . HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN THROUGH THIS TOO?! I can’t be the only one. 😫 . It wasn’t until I got diagnosed with autoimmune disease, 🏥 and decided to view food through the lens of HEALING (instead of as the enemy) that things started to shift. Shortly thereafter, I became a coach, and was hooked up with the tools to workout and eat healthfully WITHOUT the imbalance and deprivation I’d previously experienced. 😻 . I STOPPED dieting. 🤚🏻 I STARTED lifting weights (Yup... I WANT to exercise now— even on days like today, when I have a cold). 💪🏻 I FOCUSED on internal health. 🧠 . And I finally LEARNED how to maintain a healthy weight and body for the first time (while still getting to enjoy cocktails + pizza, and only spending 20-30 minutes a day exercising). 🙏🏻 . I’ve posted about IF before and still get many many questions about it. It’s very popular right now and for good reason. It’s a good strategy if you’re trying to consume fewer calories and if you have a busy schedule . The goal of this particular post is to clarify a scheduling issue that many people tend to have. IF can work whether you wake up at 6 AM, 10 AM or even 8 PM. It’s all about creating your feeding and fasting windows . Whenever you wake up, just don’t eat or drink anything with calories for 6 hours. Then you eat or drink all of your calories for the day in the next 8 hours. Then you fast again and sleep until you restart the next day. So this works at any time of the day. Just remember 6-8-10🤔 . Try to get your workout in either right before breaking your fast or during the feeding window (8 hours)💪🏼😉 .
