If money was no issue, would you prefer mostly going to yoga classes, receiving private lessons, or having an at home self guided practice?
What about in other educational pursuits in your life?
I love art, but hated my art history class in school, it’s one of those subjects that I enjoy to learn about on my own. Sometimes I love learning about the context and background of an artist, time period and specific work to fully appreciate what’s going on. Other times, like the painting in this post, I don’t even want to look at the artist’s name or have any context because I just want to imagine what’s going on.
This time I thought: why is there a girl on the floor, what is going on with the rock formation in the background, why is the main girl in #Tadasana?
Mystery is the spice of life and sometimes I want to keep it that way. Plus, I love imagining that this girl just decided to bust out her #yoga moves spontaneously. It really gives me time to look deeply and appreciate all of the fine details of the work to try and decipher what the artist was trying to make me think and feel. I can #meditate on one paining for hours at a time and think up a million different stories and conclusions. at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York
