Got a vision this morning for the future of my company.
Employees all get a three day weekend. Monday’s and Friday’s we’ll be at half staff and the middle of the week will be where it’s all hands on deck.
I was talking about the benefits practically and psychologically of a three day weekend at a recent training.
One day for todos and cleaning and appointments and errand running.
One day for social time and connection.
One day for rest and relaxation.
It makes such a difference to the whole of a person having that one extra day.
Don’t buy it?
Reflect back on when you’ve had a Monday or Friday off. Think back to when you were in school and two days became three due to a holiday.
If you didn’t get Uber excited about this then you must be dead inside or a robot. In which case this post ain’t for you, haha. And obviously neither am I. 😉
Since I believe in letting people manage themselves, they have the other four days of the week to accomplish what is needed to achieve goals while being at a level of productivity that the company needs.
If I was still working for someone else in a traditional sense, this would thrill me as a benefit of employment.
Think this is crazy and outlandish?
Tell that to
Yeah...all five of those COUNTRIES have imposed a four-day workweek.
And that doesn’t include companies across the world that utilize this.
We are the innovators. The change makers. The reformers.
Bc it’s time. Work hard, play hard has had enough time in the spot light. Why does everything have to be ‘hard’? It’s time for a new paradigm to sweep the globe.
The future is coming, we shall make it what we wish we had and what we know is needed.
