I found this pasta at Marlene’s Deli and if I’m being honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean, it’s made from red lentils, beets, carrots and sweet potatoes 🤷🏼‍♀️🤔. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was! I will definitely give the other varieties a try! I also found this dairy free “Parmesan” there 🤤. It tastes just like the real deal, but minus the dairy. Which is good for my baby since dairy is not her friend. The things we do for our kids 😁. She’s totally worth it.

Like there is no secret magical formula in gains or losing muscle. It’s the consistency and growth of learning and bettering ourselves each day.⠀ Yet, the idolised protein bar is NOT needed to a optimal lifestyle. Your “gains” will not shrivel or deflate promise to the your overall protein consumption.⠀ —⠀ We are Bombarded with protein shakes, bars, workout formulas by gyms, magazines, InFLuENCerS etc.⠀ Mother Nature protein evolutionary occurred with micronutrients (vitamin D in particular) + with some choices such as wild salmon essential fatty acids (DHA in particular) + antioxidants such as astaxanthin all in one unique source.⠀ —⠀ A protein bar is idolised by many, with the majority incorporating questionable unnecessary ingredients and cheap protein sources such as soy protein which is a poor protein source despite what funded studies say (check previous post about soy). This is hardly a meal either lacks any substance, leads towards grazing like a cow would do not as humans.⠀ —⠀ For sure, the protein bar makes a convenient, life easy, a handy source of protein yet it does not automatically give you “gains” how it’s portrayed in the industry.⠀ —⠀ Even the price point Mother Nature wins when’s you are prepared to put in a little effort to reap the rewards.⠀ Wild salmon = £2 per 100grams⠀ Protein bar at my gym= £3 (central London prices)⠀ —⠀ If your worried about your magical protein post workout consumption it may also be warranted to wait until your nervous, endocrine + circulatory system have caught up for you to optimal digest anything! 😅 Food for thought. When my Dad babysits I thank him with food! Going in the oven is my butternut pumpkin lasagne and for dessert my delicious keto lemon cake. . . Who wants to babysit next? 😂 . . (Lemon cake recipe saved further down my page or on my blog on the link in my bio.) . . Beef Mince 500 grams of beef mince Handful of chopped fresh herbs (I used sage, oregano, rosemary and chives) 1 Cup of puréed tin tomatoes or I used some of my own roast tomato and capsicum sauce (I will share recipe on my post tomorrow) 1 tablespoon of ground cumin 1/2 tablespoon of paprika 1 teaspoon of turmeric 1/4 teaspoon of ginger 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard 1 cup of hot water with a teaspoon of @meadow&marrow broth (or add a cup of stock) . . I added herbs to the pan in some coconut oil and then browned the mince with those. Added everything else and left it to simmer for 15 min. Then added to the oven dish. . . Cheese sauce 1 cup of coconut cream or full cream 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan Pinch of garlic salt . Add the above to a pot on the stove and stir until melted. Add on top of the cooked mince in the oven dish. . . Pumpkin Slices (I used just under half of a butternut pumpkin) I half cooked these slices on a tray in the oven whilst I cooked the mince. I sprinkled some ground cumin and avocado oil over the top. Then I added the slices over the top of the mince and cheese sauce. I sprinkled a little grated mozzarella and some fresh rosemary then into the oven for 15 min. at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

A week ago today was one of the most decadent days I’ve had in a while. It wasn’t at a fancy spa or anything like that. It was spent with my sister @maijagarcia ...We walked around La Jolla for a couple hours, got wheat grass shots at @juicekabooseofficial followed by an ocean side coffee stroll courtesy of @peetscoffee , and then indulged in an incredible #vegan lunch @trilogysanctuary ... Just being able to stroll and chat for a couple hours 1:1 was such a treat. It’s been years since we’ve had time like that together... . Let’s be honest, I don’t have time like that with anyone these days! The truth is, there are few people in this world that I would give my time like that to now. With a 2&4 year old at home, a very involved husband, and a career with #beautycounter that I’m passionate about, my time is so precious to me... . Do you set boundaries with your time? It’s a necessity for me. It’s not easy saying no to people sometimes, but I’ve learned that when I over extend myself just to make others happy, it doesn’t turn out well. So, in this chapter, I’m just not going to be available to meet sans kiddos for lunch or happy hour or accept every invitation....and most of the time, the answer is no. #Repost @yummy_keto_meals ・・・ Keto Enchiladas - INGREDIENTS 2 cups cheddar jack cheese, shredded 1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded 2 cups red enchilada sauce 2 tablespoons green enchilada sauce 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup green onions, chopped 1 jalapeño, diced 2 tablespoons cilantro INSTRUCTIONS In a bowl, mix cheeses together. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Add about 1/2 cup of cheese to the pan, sprinkling in a large circle. Cook until cheese is melted and bottom is golden brown. Remove from pan to cool enough to handle. Add chicken and 1 cup of enchilada sauce to a large bowl. Mix to coat the chicken. Place a spoonful of the chicken in the center of each cheese shell and roll. Top with red and green enchilada sauce. Rice and turkey sausage bowl lunch/dinner • what’s in my bowl —> brown rice, topped with turkey sausage, sautéed green & red peppers and onions! Topped with a little bit of @traderjoes Chile Lime seasoning and a salt mix. For some reason I suck at steaming rice (which is embarrassing it’s so easy) so I used one of the microwaveable rice packets from Target. The most delicious healthy-fied comfort food ever!!! Chickpea pasta (@eatbanza) made with cashew cream sauce (“cheese”), served with a side of kale 🥰 Simply soak 1 cup of cashews overnight and blend it up the next day with a dash of milk. Then add whatever veggies you like to the blend (I would recommend red bell peppers or zucchini). Sprinkle in some salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes and mix the sauce with some cooked pasta. Cook for a couple of minutes until the sauce is think and creamy. Feel free to sneak in some more chopped veggies as well 😉 at San Francisco Bay Area
