| Love your greens | 💚 Hey folks! The sun is out, its a Bank holiday weekend here in the UK and a chance to take things real easy with half term next week too 😊 🥚Starting this glorious day with eggs. I love eggs as a complete protein source. Research indicates that a protein rich start to the day helps satiety which can't be a bad thing. Stops those mid morning cravings. . 🥦 I think breakfast is also a great time to include one of your servings of greens. Whether it's a portion of sauteed greens with eggs, a smoothie, green pancakes, a green breakfast salad instead of fruit or yesterday's leftover 🥦 it really can be an easy win. Ready for some the beach time on this glorious Saturday 🏖 We all need to carve out time for self care. Taking care of our own needs is one of the most important things because if our cup is empty then we can’t show up for anyone else fully. One of the most overlooked areas of self care is SLEEP. This is an area that most of my clients struggle with. Sleep is an absolute must when it comes to supporting autoimmunity, healing your hormones, or promoting weight loss. It was and still is my #1 priority for healing and supporting my hormone balance and autoimmune disease. Here are my rules that help me get a really deep and restful sleep... 1️⃣ TV and electronics off at 9pm – I have realised that I get much more done if waking up early after restful nights than trying to battle deadlines tired late in the night. 2️⃣ No phones in the bedroom. They can be really stimulating for your brain, and can contribute to a restless sleep. Using your phone as your alarm? Go buy an alarm clock! If absolutely necessary for safety etc. place your phone as far away from your bed as possible. 3️⃣ Dim lights after 9pm (to promote natural melatonin production and your sleep/wake cycle) 4️⃣ Keep your bedroom cool at night. As you sleep your body temperature lowers naturally, so a cool temp can promote a deep and restful sleep. 5️⃣ Magnesium promotes restful sleep and relaxation. I take this about 30 minutes before bed. What can you do this weekend as an act of self care and getting enough rest? I’d love to hear! Du bist was du isst. You are what you eat. 🍴 Loving my home-based business because I can hangout in my kitchen all day if I want to! I've almost perfected my morning noatmeal. Equal parts ground chia, coconut, and flax boiled in full fat coconut milk, with berries, almond butter, and hemp seeds. The berries and butter give me the PB&J vibe I've been missing since I gave up bread. 🍞 I'm not keto anymore since I realised that pleasure matters most and I take great pleasure in eating carbs. Challenging myself to take a breather from them was so worth it though. It redefined my relationship with food. The fasting especially. I've always been a grazer consuming an endless stream of snacks, the quality of which was largely determined by my mood and surroundings. It was illuminating to experience the absence of that especially while my body felt better than ever before. 💡 I'm back to snacking but the quality and quantity are better tuned to the life I am trying to create. And I am conscious at every visit to the cupboard that this itch isn't hunger but something else. A feeling I'm struggling with or a thought or task that I'd like to put off a moment longer. I see myself in that moment and in that moment I can choose. 🤔 Choice is where your power lies. Whenever possible I simply ask myself, which choice will support the life I am trying to create? 💗 at Coquitlam, British Columbia

I’ll be spending the holiday weekend prepping for a 21 day detox. It’s long overdue! . . I’m doing a detox that eliminates common allergens and inflammatory foods so I can figure out what foods help me and what foods hurt me. . . I’m doing a detox because the last 6 + months have been full of a lot of changes, ups and downs. This is a great brunch recipe! Meal plan approved! ✅ It’s quick and easy! I love quick, easy and healthy recipes! I don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen everyday. 2 tbsp olive oil 1/3 cup of diced red potatoes 3/4 cup turkey kielbasa 2 eggs Cook potatoes until soft, add sliced turkey kielbasa and cook until heated threw, add 2 eggs and mix it. Cook until eggs are all the day. Add pinch of salt and pepper. Enjoy!

I’ve been walking #Disney theme parks this week before my annual pass goes into blockout dates. When I get home, my feet have been hot, swollen and tight from the heat and concrete.🦶🏻 . Unfortunately this is the case for a large percentage of Americans. The fact that people would rather put toxic chemicals in their bodies and be sliced open with the risks of surgery shows how much choosing a healthy lifestyle is mental. People tend to want a quick fix and feel like they can’t stick to a healthy lifestyle because of years of lazy and unhealthy habits. We are literally choosing options that put our life and health at risk in order to not regularly consume healthy foods or be active. Think about that for a minute....We are choosing to mask pain, take medication to subside uncomfortable effects of unhealthy food and lack of exercise, and we even do surgeries to make us eat less or remove the fat we have acquired from our bad habits; but without making any lifestyle changes to maintain this. It’s pretty mind blowing if you think about it. 🤯 The solution to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is simple, yet seems so hard at the same time. The first way to achieve health is to change your mindset and change your habits. You are going to miss that cupcake a lot less than you are going to miss your heart or your nervous system. Being sore from a workout is going to hurt a lot less than knee, back, joint and breathing issues.
