Three years ago today, I went on a blind date with my co-worker’s @adelecpotter oldest brother; I had nothing to lose at that point in my life, and little did I know, everything to gain.
That day was one of the best in my life! Trevor and I ended up spending 10 hours together and enjoyed every minute of it. One of the things we did was go to the Smithsonian National WWI History museum where he wooed me with charm, good looks, humor, and of course, his French skills reading old war propaganda posters. .
This picture is our very first selfie taken in that museum, where I joked that we made it through the trenches together. .
If you know us well, you’ll know that this year has been very hard on us. We have been hit left and right with challenges testing our faith and our stamina. I won’t go into the details, but want to share that even though we face things that seem unbearable or endless, it’s possible to make it through the trenches if you have good comrades. .
I have the best man by my side and am SO grateful that at long last, he gets to come home. It seems as though everything has fallen into place and pointed our family in this direction. .
When we entered Pennsylvania today, I found it fitting and “a good sign” that we were welcomed with a sign that I will never forget (swipe over to see.) This is where we’ll be pursuing our own happiness for the next few chapters of our lives.
Also, did I mention the town where we will be staying while we gather our bearings is called New Hope? How’s that for a sign?
Happy 3 years of knowing you, @trev.hawk I wouldn’t trade the highs or the trenches for anything ♥️ Here’s to the next few of pursuing happiness together! Cheers!!
