What’s most funny to me, is actually shameful!!! It’s not about my brand, it’s about our brands, and the fact that when mainstream Industry reminds us that they’re not “for us”, those who are against us, aka the racist, will then go out their way to nullify any so called #Boycott efforts, by supporting brands they’ve never supported, or forgot about such as #Burberry, amongst the myriad of other options.
Yet when this happens to us, you’d think that we’d flood the internet as a majority, looking for Black Owned and or Supportive brands to which we can support in return. 😔 unfortunately this isn’t the case.
This shit, yes shit isn’t accidental, it’s viral publicity and gorilla marketing!!!
It’s these brands way of countering the #Nike type of campaigns that sparked Blacks and Their supporters to buy more Nike’s.
Whereas these brands are saying without saying it, and hiding behind shallow apologies, that Hey Racist We See you, and we want your money 💴. But hey my rant is amongst thousands, and not much of anything is going to change.
Successful #BlackOwnedBrands will continue to become successful, but through the support of white and other customers, because we as a people have been conditioned to hate ourselves and our fellow man/woman, so much that we’re willing to continue to support brands that make it clear they don’t give AF about you!
A man that doesn’t have the support of his wife, won’t be trusted by others.
As such, we except the respect of others when we refuse to respect ourselves.
The cause is the cause, and like an illness, the cause can often times be out of your control, but the remedy/solution, is within our control, if by nothing else, doing your part and taking the medicine, following through with the physical therapy, or something as simple as taking it easy until given a clean bill of health.
However your refusal to do whatever is necessary in order to improve your condition, is sign number 1 that you don’t want to be better as bad as you say you do. -Duke Duval A.D.S
