Alongside the physical and mental attributes to training, eating wholesome and nutritious kai and staying on track with goals, dreams and ideas comes the internal stuff. When it comes to my relationship with myself and my body, it is the utmost difficult thing to do. Waaaay harder than any of my relationships/friendships tbh and it could be a factor as to why people find me hard to love, but that’s a whooooole ‘nother story 😂 .
Aaaanyway, back to self loving me for me 🖤 if you’d ask me two years ago if I would ever beyond my wildest dreams brave the guts to wear my crop top? I would’ve said HELL TO THE NO! Haha..I’ve got rolls out, my stretch marks ride way up my puku (tummy) & my back and my bicep muscles are hiding in warm layers of flab. But here I am, with the same damn insecurities I peep but the only difference is that on this certain day, I really didn’t give a shit. It was scary, yes - but oh well! It’s my body and no one else’s. Practically it was bloody hot too, so really - taking off my top was super beneficial for this scorcher of a day ☀️A day at a time to appreciate your body as it grows and changes and heals and most importantly, as it comes is most definitely key to accepting our bodies as they are, for how they are and the beautiful soul that sits inside them.
