Protein bars are expensive and sometimes filled with ingredients you’ll need a Chemistry degree to read. Here’s some you can make with only 4 ingredients that any 8 yr old could read. ⠀ Ingredients: 📍2 cups oats (160 grams) 📍4 scoops protein powder (120 grams) 📍5 tbsp. peanut butter (80 grams) 📍1/2 cup almond milk, milk, or water ⠀ Makes 8 servings. ⠀ Amount per serving: 200 calories 7g fat 18g carbs 17g protein ⠀ Combine everything into a bowl and stir. Should be a thick consistency. Using cooking spray, coat the bottom of a square baking pan. Scrape the mix into the pan and push down so it covers the bottom of the pan. ☕🍫💪 Grenade White Chocolate Mocha Carb Killa Protein Bar 💪🍫☕ I wasn't expecting much of this bar in all honesty. I did until I tried the Cookies & Cream one and it turned out to be such a big disappointment, especially after how expensive they are and how much good reviews they get overall. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised. This flavour was SO GOOD. I love coffee and coffee flavoured things, and chocolate of all types. And this was basically a bar with a mocha chewy protein bit, with a caramel layer all coated in white chocolate with 'crunchy' bits (they weren't crunchy though). The white chocolate went really well with the mocha flavour, if not maybe a tad too sweet buuut I loved it nonetheless. This was such a contrast to the other bar. There was honestly no protein or bitter sweetener taste at all and the protein layer wasn't too chewy, more soft and crumbly, which was perfect as some protein bars can be unpleasantly chewy and hard. And I HATE chewy and hard things, including toffee. - Hey folks, I wanted to write about this topic for some time now because I do get messages from a lot of people that want to be as accurate as possible with their calorie tracking. . I’m all for it, and that’s why I recommend that you weigh your food as long as it DOESN’T develop into an obsession. . Accuracy is of paramount importance and if it’s worth doing then you may as well do it right. Right!?. . ☝️However, I have to point out some issues with calorie counting because some people are so involved in the details and accuracy that it does almost become an obsession. . When you check a million databases for 1 item of food to make sure that the calories and macros are correct or if you have to make sure that you hit your macros to the gram to get a good nights sleep then you probably need to hear this more than most. . Calorie tracking isn’t accurate. There, I said it. That’s the truth. I’ll give you 2 examples. . . Nutrition labels can be 20-30% off - or more! . Now let’s take a look at the bananas. Let’s assume they’re the same banana at each size. Depending on the size and ripeness, the calories can be completely different. I didn’t write the calorie differences because I really don’t know and I don’t care. . The take home message is that calorie tracking isn’t 100% accurate, but as long as you’re consistent with the way you track then you’re good. Don’t let the minute details get to you or ruin your day. Ultimately, It’s all an estimate. So chill out🤙 . . . A burger you can’t buy for money, but you’ll get for free if able to access the “United Airlines Polaris Lounge” at EWR. My initial thought was to work on technique and do some volume work after a "heavy" squat day on Tuesday As each set went on, I felt stronger and stronger, and with the help of @kerriedwards, got myself a juicy PB of 143kg for a double The second rep was a grind! I find one can never go wrong making any of Ina Garten’s ( @inagarten ) recipes . I decided to make her birthday cake recipe that can be found on the food network website. However, I modified it and made it gluten free using @bobsredmill oat flour. The result were soft, moist and fluffy. . . I 1/2 the recipe and used a food scale to get 218 grams of Oat Flour. 🙄Tell me if this cycle sounds familiar…⠀ ⠀⠀ You’ll reach a point where you’re sick and tired of being overweight and eating like shit, so you decide to make a drastic change.⠀ ⠀⠀ You’ll go from eating huge portions of high-calorie foods and virtually zero fruits & veggies to hardly eating any calories and eliminating everything you consider “bad.”⠀ ⠀⠀ 🤷‍♀ It works...till it doesn't.⠀ ⠀⠀ Usually 2-6 weeks after starting, you give up and return to what you were doing before.⠀ ⠀⠀ Most people does this — they make dieting way harder and way more unenjoyable than it needs to be.⠀ ⠀⠀ And it all comes down to your mindset starting out.⠀ ⠀⠀ See, most people are only concerned with how much weight they can lose…⠀ ⠀⠀ They don’t care what they have to do in the short-term — if they can get the 10, 20, or 30+ pounds they want to lose off as quickly as possible, they’ll try anything.⠀ ⠀⠀ 🤔 But therein lies the problem…⠀ ⠀⠀ People care about losing weight, and not enough about keeping it off.
