#Making this #blanket took me a year and four months because I've put it away & forgotten about it, and had many days of being too tired/overwhelmed/etc. to work on it. I have grieved and celebrated since casting on the first stitches. I enjoy #knitting, and often it helps me to manage my #anxiety through calming repetition, but other times it feels like one more thing on a long list of obligations and I can't even look my project. One thing I have noticed in my many years of being an entrepreneur is that it is very easy to fall into the mistake of making stupid counterproductive sacrifices, often in order to “improve productivity”. We end up eliminating all the activities that recharge our internal batteries. The fastest route to burnout is to rob ourselves of the things that fuel us. Often there are activities that look like a distraction which really are activities that recharge us and drive us. That said, if you find yourself using these activities as an escape, rather than an efficient fuel up… there is a bigger problem. There is something in your life you are avoiding. A lo largo de mi vida he visto que muchas veces sacrificamos aquellas cosas que nos llenan de energia y felicidad por perseguir nuestros sueños y metas de manera obsesiva. Sacrificar las cosas que nos recargan, no es la mejor idea. Eliminar aquellas cosas y actividades que nos llenan de vida provoca que nos desgastemos de mas y nos cansemos muy rápidamente. Estar agotado en exceso nos vuelve improductivos. Permitirnos ciertas actividades que pueden parecer una distracción en momentos claves, puede ser algo muy productivo y sano. Siempre y cuando no se estén usando esas actividades como un escape. “A mood is just one long emotional reaction”. -Dr. Joe Dispenza And, our dominant emotional state is expressed though our body. Our body is the unconscious mind expressed. Breaking the repetitive automatic cycle of thinking and feeling is the only way to create deep integrated change. The same thoughts, create the same emotions, create the same reactions, behaviours and habits. Stressful Emotions create the hormones of stress (fear, anxiety, depression). The Chemicals of stress are highly addictive and can be challenging to rewire. Living in the same emotional state for long enough, becomes what we call our ‘personality’. We can’t live in ‘emergency alarm 🚨 mode’ all the time which is what many of us do every day. Eventually the body will break down. This is how the pattern goes: We Get sick. Can’t go to work or start having issues at work. Can’t make money. Creates more stress and more problems. Stress creates even more physical pain. More stress from the health problems. This becomes our identity. Living in this creates constant stress hormones. Our Body is then literally stuck in ‘alarm mode’. Illness continues to worsen and more health issues arise. Stress occurs when we knock the body out of balance internally. Through our emotional states and reactions. This is why diets and supplements aren’t enough! You can’t rewire thoughts, emotions and behaviour with a pill or green juice. The booming health and wellness trend is a double endge sword. Of course we need to eat well and avoid toxins. Everyone knows this. But focusing only on the physical ignores that we are multidimensional beings. This is why my work focuses on the psychological-emotional and spiritual level of healing. Nearly every client I’ve ever worked with is already on a plethora of supplements and strict programs. And, after months and months of this- still don’t get well. We are missing the big picture if we rely on the supplements and trendy diets. And..these diets we hear about everywhere are NOT for everyone. Look within. Do the inner work. And the rest will fall into place. You’ll feel less stressed, and effortlessly gravitate toward (Ctd in comments).

Love is typically seen as “I am loved when I can be my true self around my partner”. There is truth to this. Where we get derailed is after years of dating, conversating, and daily bids and interactions, our voices to our partners become monotone, almost as if we are talking to ourselves. . Think about it. Imagine yourself on an interview. How are you talking after being asked a question? Now think about your spouse of 5 years asking you that exact same question coming in the door after work. . It is weirdly normal to feel like you have “better conversation” with others than your partner - because the reality is, your conversations change and dull overtime. This can be hard to understand, especially when we realize or miss how things used to be, and have years of offenses against one another. This doesn’t mean you have to accept it, it just means the effort that goes into catching up with a friend over wine should be the same as coming home from work everyday to connect with your partner. Those people skills need to be “partner skills” as well. . You likely can still “be yourself” around your partner. My question is: are you still your true self to your partner? Or are you a monotoned, watered down version? Your connection doesn’t go away, you likely just neglected watering it. #spoonforthought at Mountain Bean
