This book was DEEP! Adventure, scandal, ghosts, archeology, murder, revenge, and a few plot twists - this book will keep your mind thoroughly occupied: it centers around a curious tree that grows when you tell it lies. The larger the lie, the more people that believe the lie, the more it grows. I gave this book 4.5 stars, see my #blog #linkinbio to see why. . . . . . #books #bookstagram #bookreview #currentlyreading #reading #goodreads #bibliophile #youngadult #ireadya #instabooks #tree #follow #followme

Sophie Kinsella - I Owe You One I’ve enjoyed all of Sophie Kinsella’s addictive romantic comedies but I’m disappointed to say that this one is not one of her best. Fixie Farr works at the family business and Ryan, her childhood crush re enters her life. One day in the local cafe she is asked to watch a computer owned by Sebastian and what follows is a humorous journey of her love life and her troublesome weird family. It’s a lighthearted romp with a charming lead heroine who can’t help but fix everything that she sees and has her fair share of sibling rivalry. It stays true to the formula that Sophie is known for and includes an array of eccentric and relatable characters. I enjoyed it enough to finish and it’s not perfect but it’s cute and funny for an afternoon of reading. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5/5 stars Craig’s review #newrelease #popularfiction #contemporaryfiction #romance #femalewriters #womenwriters #authorsofinstagram #writersofinstagram #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #farmreads #everyoneread #book #reading #bookaddict #bookworm #bookobsessed #bookaholic #booknerd #booklover #bookblogger #bookblog #bookreview #sophiekinsella #ioweyouone

Reviewer's Name: Sudha Ramnath Book: Murder in Seven Acts Author: Kalpana Swaminathan Genre:. Thriller/detective Book Review: When I came across this book, a mystery/thriller book by an Indian female author, I was very intrigued. The protagonist, Lalli and her assistant/niece, Sita remind me of Sherlock Holmes and Watson. Even though some of the deductions were good, mostly they were too far fetched and the staccato style of story telling was jarring. Have you watched the series Sherlock on Netflix? This the style of story telling in the book. While it was smart and interesting in a visual medium, it was irritating in print medium, especially because there was no coherence or continuity or tying up loose ends. Having said that, I could also see that the author is brilliant. Some stories, especially the last one was outstanding. In effect, before writing off her books, I am planning to read one more by her. Maybe this was not one of her best? Anyone else has read her books? Would love to know which one to read next? #didyoureadtoday #bookreview #bookstagramfeature #ilovebooks #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #bookaddict #currentlyreading #bookclub #shelfie #bookphotography #instabook #booknerd #readersofinstagram #bookaholic #instaread #bookaholic #booksofinstagram #bookish #bookishfeatures #bibliophile #goodreads #booknerdigans #lovebooks

#BookReviewsbyZinnia 🍂 Remnants of a Separation, by Aanchal Malhotra Genre: Indian History 🍂 This is a very interesting and intriguing account of partition of India told in form of 19 stories, each story describing an heirloom or a gift that lived through the years of partition. Thus revisiting the historical exodus through material memory. While these objects survived the transition of time, circumstance and geography, each one of them also beautifully showcases extraordinary quirks and oddities of a dying generation that has seen a very tough period of our history. 🍂 The Independence Day in 1947 came in with such speed and in the midst of such turmoil that there was little opportunity for either preparation or reflection. People locked their homes, packed minimal stuff thinking this is just for a month or two, and that they will be back home again. Little did they know that they would never return to their previous lives, never! Hence whatever they packed in their little suitcase was all that they had to remind themselves of a life they once lived. 🍂 The physical displacement followed its victims with a traumatic mental displacement, a sudden up-rootedness, an unlearning and relearning of identity. It brought them a feeling of unavoidable disorientation. The Radcliffe Line forced people to leave behind a place where they were born, where they built their lives and where they tasted success. It brought them to a place where they knew nobody, had no home or money. It brought them an unavoidable tag of ‘Refugees’. 🍂 Refugees accepted their fate and marched into their future. They focused on rebuilding their lives. They picked jobs, set up their businesses… moved from refugee camps to their own homes, and began a new life. 🍂 Each story teller in this book is in their 80s or 90s. They gracefully open that suitcase they packed in 1947, revisit their past and tell us who they really were, because: ‘Remember that you never forget where you came from, because a part of that soil stays with you forever.’ . A must read Rating: 5/5 . Thank you @aanch_m for this incredible read. . @harpercollinsin #remnantsofaseparation

Well, I started to read this book a few days ago and thought “this seems familiar”..... sure enough, I had read it before. I don’t know how I missed this one for my Read The World list, but I was happy to rediscover it. Read The World: The Gift Of Rain. Country: Malaysia. Read in 2016 This is the story of 16 year old Phillip Hutton. He is a half English/half Chinese boy living in Penang. When his father and half siblings take a vacation to England, he decides to stay home. He gets to know Hayato Endo who is a Japanese diplomat staying on Phillip’s family’s property. Phillip learns Japanese and aikido from Endo. When the Japanese invade Malaysia, Phillip learns that Endo is a Japanese spy. It becomes clear that Endo taught Phillip aikido to save his life and possibly the life of his family. This was a great book and I encourage you to read it. I think it does a nice job blending the English/Chinese/Japanese cultures. www.breathetoread.com #bookstagrammer #bookhorder #booklife #bookreview #bookstagram #coffeeandbooks #goodreadschallenge #bookblogger #readersofinstagram #bookstoread #readingchallenge #malaysia at Basel, Switzerland

x x B O O K R E V I E W x x BQ ✒ - "He's more myself then I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same, and Linton's is as different as a moonbeam from lightening or frost from fire" Summary 📚 - A wild, passionate story of the intense and almost demonic love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, an orphan adopted by Catherine's father. After wrongly believing his love is not reciprocated, Heathcliff is hellbent on pursuing revenge with violent and chaotic consequences I loved my re-read of Wuthering Heights 🖤🖤🖤 it reminded me why this is one of my all time favourite classics, and why I fall in love with it more every time 1✔Everyone has their favourite book that they can quote repeatedly - this is mine! It was so hard to pick a book quote above as I have so many favourites! Bronte gives me speeches that move me so much and quotes that leave me emotionally raw. They are passionate with so much feeling ... I can simply lose myself in her words 2.✔I love how the harsh, bleak scenery becomes almost a character in itself. It is unforgiving, haunting and holds so many memories bred from Heathcliff and Cathy's self destruction. But amongst it's lonliness, it also oozes romantic notions of a love so passionate and enduring through death 🖤 It's my favourite bookish landscape and I am so lucky to live not too far from the Bronte house where the surrounding moorland is the setting of this masterpiece 3.✔Finally .... my love hate relationship with Heathcliff. He grew up misunderstood, and was warped by the hate shown to him from first coming to the Heights. Cathy's selfishness and disregard for all feeling torments him to a point so far gone. His devilish soul was born from the hate and wrong shown unto him and as much as the reader despises him in volume II, my hate was born from love and pity of his character which I can never unattach from If you're going to tick some classics off your list, get lost on Bronte's moors with Cathy and Heathcliff 🖤🖤 you won't forget it!! at Saddleworth Moor

🆃🅴🅴🅽🅰🅶🅴🆁🆂 🅰🅽🅳 🆁🅴🅰🅳🅸🅽🅶👩🏼📚 ⠀ Happy Saturday, book readers♥️ This is my teenage daughter Anastasia in the picture who is fifteen. As I was taking the pictures of her she made me think of some questions: do teenagers nowadays read more or less than their coevals used to read twenty years ago? Do they read paper books? Do they go to the libraries? Do they read classical literature? ⠀ 📚In my humble opinion teenagers actually read less and there are lots of factors that influence this. Some of those are the Internet, booming of social networks, digitalization and many more. ⠀ 📚My friend however once argued saying that they actually read more as the information nowadays is more accessible, it’s literally on the tips of their fingers and therefore they don’t need to bother themselves going to the bookshop or library before they start reading something. ⠀ 📚I personally don’t have a definite answer to that question, but what I’m witnessing now looking both at my daughter (who, by the way, reads a lot) and her friends is that they spend much more time scrolling the feeds of social networks than reading which I don’t think equals to reading the books. ⠀ I know there are a lot of both teenagers and their parents among my followers and your opinion on this is very welcome, so here is ➡️QOTD: Do you think teenagers read a lot nowadays? Do you think the quality of what they read is comparable to what people read twenty or thirty years ago? at Kraków, Poland

📚 BOOK REVIEW 📚 ___ 📖Synopsis📖 When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves ... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss. ___ 📖My Thoughts📖 Oh, this was way better than I remember it! Prison of Azkaban was always my favourite as a kid. I was always so intrigued by the dementors and they brought a much darker feel the the story. The characters are much stronger in this book, with their roles and personalities much more defined.... and not to mention they are far less annoying! There are so many leads during the story that tie in so cleverly at the end and that are, kind of heartwarming actually - for example, story behind Harry’s Patronus. Yes, there are plot holes, a lot of repetition and the writing isn’t perfect. But if I was still in the target age range, I wouldn’t be focused on that or care! And to be perfectly honest, as an adult, it does not detract from the magic and the amount of fun that I am having rereading the series. Prisoner of Azkaban has reignited my love of Harry Potter. ___ #bookstagram #bookworm #bookstagrammer #aussiebookworm #aussiebookstagrammer #bookreview #bibliophile #bookphotography #booktography #harrypotter #harrypotterseries #harrypotterbooks #prisonerofazkaban #harrypotterandtheprisonerofazkaban #potterheads #harrypotternerd

So I finally finished this book, and I was really disappointed. The plot was so predictable, and I was convinced that there were these massive plot twists coming, but nothing. You can guess the entire plot from the blurb! I’m also not a fan of the style it was written in. It’s very verbose, one of those novels in which the characters spend pages reflecting on a single conversation or tiny action. It’s even worse for me because I can see the potential in this plot, but it was just a let down. I thought there was more room to explore the relationship between the two women more closely as there were sexual implications that could have enhanced the book, but this was left out. I’m aware that the book has been picked up for a film, so maybe that will be a better medium for this story. I wouldn’t recommend this book at all 🤷🏼‍♀️ #books #bookstagram #bookaholicgirl #literature #lovebooks #bookish #bookreview #bookaddict #bookworm

- When the Miracle Drops - ✨Chapter 1 Review by yours truly✨ _______________________ It took me having to get some alone time at 3 something in the AM to finally read Chapter 1. Initially I’m thinking, okay maybe this about to be some cliché from broke to riches story (now why was this in the back of my head, idk). However, once I started reading, I was immediately shook. @darealbbjudy has practically given the formula for reaching potential success within the first few pages of the book, God + Purpose + Ambition. I’m from a small town south west-ish of New Orleans and it felt like I was in her shoes when she was describing those moments taking place at “John Mac”. For those moments to play a defining role in her decision to want better for herself, it serves as a parallel universe for many because we all want better. We all have life defining moments that ultimately either push us to pursue our purposes, passionately, or hide from the world and settle working that 9 to 5. ____________________________ I can’t wait for the official drop of the entire book, I’m really ready to dive in more. I can’t make any of the Judy Dropping Knowledge workshops due to carrying my bundle of joy, but thank God for her being able to share some of that knowledge in her book, “When The Miracle Drops”. #whenthemiracledropsbookreview 💖✨ #bookreview

The judge's cook watches over her distractedly, for his thoughts are claimed by his son, Biju, who is hopscotching from one gritty New York🗽 restaurant to another on an exclusive search for green card. When an Indian Nepali insurgency in the mountains interrupts Sai's romance with her Nepali tutor, and causes their lives to descend into chaos, they are forced to consider their colliding interests. ✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨ • I picked this book up out of curiosity. I’m not a Buddhist but I was curious what the Dalai Lama could teach me on happiness and living. It took me a lot longer to complete the book because somehow, I often found myself seated in deep contemplation. Like life, this isn’t a book to be read and “checked” off in a rush. • Interestingly, the Dalai Lama doesn’t teach you how to be happy because he believes it is an innate characteristic of all human beings. What he does instead is offer a number of antidotes to combat negative thoughts. • I close off with an antidote which I believe we can adopt to bring us one step closer to a happier state of being - The only factor that can give you refuge or protection from the destructive effects of anger and hatred is your practice of tolerance and patience. • Namaste. 🙏🏼 • • • #inraereviews #bookofthemonth #bookreview #bibliophile #bookstagram #humansofbookstagram #instareads #readmore #bookalicious #ihavethisthingwithbooks #booklovers

The sinner, the believer or the confused... which one are you? And is it possible to be just one? Once again @shafakelif has managed to speak to the mind and soul and heart of her audience. It's fiction, yet so factual - her characters' intellectual debates on God versus faith, belief versus spirituality, and love with its many forms and colours and complications; there's such a raw honesty in it all. She isn't afraid to embrace uncertainty and admit there are sometimes no obviously correct answers...and that comes through so well in all her writing - you will find yourself empathising with the most unlikely of characters in her books! Shafak speaks deeply to my inner 'Child of Nowhere' rhetoric - her characters seem to fight the same questions - Who am I really? Where do I really belong? What do I really believe? And how does it all reconcile into who I am today, how I see the world and how I express myself in it? I've loved every single one of her books, and this was no exception 💙 🔹 🔹 🔹 🔹 🔹 #elifshafak #threedaughtersofeve #contemporaryliterature #faith #spirituality #god #Love #saintconfusedbeliever #booklover #bookreview #instabook #readersoftheworld #read #books #Oursharedshelf #literature #berryliciousmusings #kindle #kindlecover #bookofthemonth #fiction

What format of books do you prefer: paper books, electronic books or audio books? Personally, I am a huge fan of audio books, but sometimes use an electronic one as well. And there are some good reasons for that. First of all, it's ecologically friendly. Secondly, you don't need to make a lot of financial investments. Nowadays paper books become more and more expensive, while a good electronic book is usually quite affordable for anyone. Subscription to an audiobook app is also rather affordable. The one that I use is Storytell.com (love it and recommend to everyone). Thirdly, an electronic book doesn't take much space in your bag and weighs very little, so you can take it anywhere you go and read when you have a free minute. I think there's no need to tell you that an audiobook doesn't take any physical space at all, just several megabits in your cell phone. And the most important thing is that you can listen to it everywhere! Literally! Just don't forget to use your headphones 😏 Another advantage of an audiobook is that you can change the speed of playback, if the speaker is too slow or too fast for you. Isn't that great?! To my mind, we should use modern technologies more actively and more widely. Because, just think how convenient it is! What are you going to do with all those piles of paper books that you have already read and are not going to use anymore? They simply accumulate more and more dust and space. Without even mentioning that so many trees are killed to produce books every day... 😢 Think about it. #readingismyhobby #bookreview #bookstagram #wisethoughts #instabookclub #instabooks #instathoughts #reflections #bookreviews #booklovers #bookishlove #followme at Los Angeles, California

#bookreview . 🔸Author: Arpit Bakshi @author_arpit 🔸Publisher:@rupa_publications 🔸Genre: Fiction 🔸Price: INR 295(Paperback) . LINK in MY BIO (BLOG) for BLURB & Full Review💫 . 🌠 Its a beautiful blend of Science and Mythology. I was always fascinated with all the concepts in Quantum mechanics in my high school(i still do). There are a lot and lot of possibilities if R&D be done rightly in this area. And this book was totally about that, Though it is a fiction it actually shows us the possibilities of the scientific advancements than can be thought of in this area. For e.g BRAHMPORTATION mentioned in the book is about the concept of Teleportation . OMECHTA the 5th dimension (used to separate one universe from another)apart from the space and time. This could be achieved by changing the coordinates of space and time. . 🌠 Talking about the mythology part as this is a Maha Vishnu Trilogy mostly focused on Krishna, the names of all the characters are different names of Krishna and Vishnu or people related to them. There are references to the Mahabharat and the time of Lord Krishna, fight for dharma, and how we should not just survive just for the sake of survival but there should be a purpose to our life. . 🌠 The book also talks about the destruction of the humans caused by their own greed. Over utilization of resources, polluting the rivers and also how science and technology can make and break us if not rightly used. . 🌠The book is written in simple language and is understandable but for the Scientific terms created by the Author i suggest readers to have a look into the glossary where all the terms are explained in full detail. Every thing is very well explained and we can get a good visual in our mind of what the author is actually talking about. All the characters and there characterization were good. And the book has a fast pace with a lot of thrill & suspense and will never make you bored. I really LOVED the book. #bookrecommendation Rating : 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 . Received the book as a part of @thebookgenie review program.❤❤Thank You💖

× #instabook #bookaesthetic #pocketjeunesse #pkj #books #geek #bookstgram #bookaholic #bookreview #marielu #warcross #gameboycolor #videogames #geekread #youthbook #illustration #livre #lecture #book #goodread #readingchallenge2019

Apa coba 3 tips ampuhnya? Makanya baca dulu bukunya hoho.. . . Barakallah Mbak Andis atas bukunya! Semoga senantiasa jadi amal jariyah bagi Mbak Andis dan keluarga😘 at UMCG - Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen

#Bacaan2019 Kemarin seorang rekan kerja, @nuraini_septianti bertanya, dulu (pas kuliah/sekolah kali ya?) pernah kepikiran ga sih kalau bakal kerja jadi editor? Jawabannya, enggak. Jadi bisa dibilang my one and only sister ini berperan sangat besar dalam membuatku meniti jalan menjadi editor. Namun, gurunya, orangtuanya, semua ingin Lei berangkat. Saking senangnya, sang Ayah bahkan memberi Lei hadiah berupa liburan di Korea, tempat sepupunya tinggal. They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera: A beautifully written but heartbreaking story, that is deep and haunting. What would you do with your End Day if you knew it was the last one you'd ever live? Would you want to know that today is the day you will die? This book makes you ask these questions of yourself as well as consider what will be your legacy - who will miss you? Who will remember you? It's engaging and though provoking, with the right elements of humour to distract from the quite frankly dark element of the plot. At the same time it's a tragic love story; it's about making friends, saying goodbye and also finding love in unexpected places. Living your life in a day and accepting human mortality. When you stop to think it's profound and scary, but meaningful too. The characters are interesting and deep with many layers, yet they work together perfectly. You know how the story will end but you really hope that it would turn out differently ⭐⭐⭐⭐ . . . Day 16 of #BooksOutLoud is Progress - not actually sure this counts but I couldn't think of anything specifically. Although reading this I guess has epements of progress, there is an LGBTQ element, but it's not in your face, it's accepted easily, and it's no big deal. Also they are able to predict death days, which is something I hope is not really a possibility in the future because I wouldn't want to know #bookstagram #bookstagramming #bookstagrammer #booklover #lovebooks #lovereading #bookcover #currentlyreading #currentread #CR #justfinished #bookreview #theybothdieattheend #adamsilvera #youngadultfiction #youngadult #YA #bookspines #bookrainbow #bookishrainbow #bookstagramchallenge #photoprompt #february2019

I’m sure you’ve all heard the amazing news already, but THEY BOTH DIE AT THE END is coming a TV show! 🎉 I’m so excited I may have sobbed a little when I heard the news 😭😂 • I’m so excited to see my adorable queer munchkins, Rufus and Mateo, on screen... but also, I’m NOT READY FOR THE HEARTACHE. AGAIN. 😭💔 Just when I thought I’d worked through the pain - NOPE 😩 • I’m so sorry if you were planning on reading this book and I’m putting you off it 😂 But SERIOUSLY. It’s amazing and you’ll laugh and you’ll cry and you’ll kind of want to die at the end because you don’t want to live in a world without Rufus and Mateo, but in a good way? JUST TRUST ME. IT’S BRILLIANT. ✨💙 (and queeeeeeer 🏳️‍🌈) • WHO ELSE IS EXCITED (and also a tiny bit nervous)?! 😅💖

"Between Shades of Gray" by Ruta Sepetys There's a funny experience surrounding this book. I didn't know Ruta Sepetys and thought that 'is this book related to that fifty shades something?'. And that's it. Until I knew her and fell in love with the theme she chose to be put in the book. So.... . This book was not so different to 'Salt to the Sea'. Both plots had the same pattern. Journey. Fear. Starvation. Always stick to each other. (Oh girl of course it's the same theme just through different perspectives) But this one, to be honest, got me more emotional than the other aforementioned book. I found it more thrilling and I almost sobbed, but again unfortunately I wasn't. It's a coming-of-age novel, but I didn't know why I felt like the main character almost had no personality development. She stayed the same. I could see her ego was still on a high level while everybody else already had their heart melted. Let's say, her brother. Throughout the book, he slowly grew mature and for me, even much more mature than his sister.Lina was definitely not my favorite character. I seriously prefered Kretzsky mooreee than her. While Andrius was an absolute favorite to me. Last but not least, the author's note is totally worth reading. That's it. -S #book #bookcollection #books📚 #booksbooksbooks #booksofig #booknerd #bookslover #bookaholic #bookobsessed #booksphotography #booksarelife #bookish #bookworm #books #bookreview #bookstagram #bibliophile #ilovebooks #historicalfiction #rutasepetys #betweenshafesofgray #ashesinthesnow

Credit picture to @templepodiatry . Grey's Anatomy or Galen's Anatomy? . Gelen is the first introduced about dissection of the body by using dead or live animals. Then followed after his time by Flemish anatomist Andreas Vesalius (1514-64) is the first using dead human body which he assisted by his friend Gemma Phrysius, smuggled the body. He then boiled all the bones and put the skeleton together until he had complete structure of human body. He is the one dare to challenge Galen about the theory of Adam's rib; clarifying that men also have 12 rib on each side same like women. Vesalius juga terkenal sebagai contributor of skeleton of popular felon (penjahat) to University of Basel as the world's oldest anatomical preparation . William Harvey (1578-1657) known for his discovery of blood circulation. He suggested that the heart is as a pump, keeping blood circulating. However Syrian Ibnu Nafis (1210-88) had different conclusion with the circulation of blood. #20secondbookreview February's book for #fatfunnybookclub done and dusted. This one was a bit of a slow burner for me, but I stuck with it and ended up racing my way through the second half where it seemed every chapter ended on a cliff hanger. I'm still undecided how I feel about the ending, without giving too much away I'm not sure I got the closure I wanted, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this one which isn't my usual genre. 4/5 stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ #newblogger #newblog #mumblogger #healthybalance #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #anxiety #pblogger #parentblogger #mumlife #motherhoodunplugged #instamum #ukparentblogger #ukpblogger #babygirl #winter #bookclub #bookworm #bookstagram #igbookclub #thehusbandssecret #bookaddicted #igreads #bookreview

Book Review 📖 . Friday Black was actually the second book I've read this year and now I have finally gotten around to putting my thoughts on it into words. It is diffucult to describe these short stories but I would say what they all have in common is that they allow a glimps into different worlds - some dystopian, some not - that are all uncomfortably close to our reality. Each of them highlights issues that are burningly relevant, such as racism, consumerism and the pursuit of happiness. They will make you think, but leave it up to you what you make of them. In my opinion, an impressive and important read. . . . #bookreview #fridayblack #booksandtea #shortstories #bookrecommendation #bookstagram #bookflatlay #bookphotography #vscobooks #bibliophile #literature #bookworm #ilovebooks #betterwithbooks #bookaesthetic

Just Eat It 🍩 is written in such a friendly tone, it’s easy to follow and entertaining, but at the same time delivering very powerful message – fuck the diet culture, stop spending all your energy on dieting. The delivery of the message is perfect for our times and culture, it is not a medical text saying how fatphobia and weight stigma impact our health, it delivers those messages in insta-friendly quotes, references modern pop-culture and feels like it was written by your friend. 🤗Full review on my blog👆 Thank you @panmacmillan for the ARC of the book 🙏 #bookreview #justeatit #antidiet #intuitiveeating #bookblogger

1/5🌟 . . #bookreview #bookstagram #instabook #bookpic #bookworm #booklover #booknerd #bookholic #elultimomago #read #book #bibliophile #iloveread

Part two of the young elites series (the rose society) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Felt like a filler but was just as interesting as the young elites, Adelina started annoying me a bit as I found some of the choices that she makes idiotic but it was part of the plot. Magiano's debut was the absolute best and he dethroned Raffaele as my favourite character. Also the fact that Violetta has a larger role made me enjoy learning more about her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (🚫SPOILER REVIEW AHEAD🚫) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I half expected Enzo to come back alive because his death didn't seem complete, Adelina grew darker and more insecure about lots of things which was fun to read regarding how she's after revenge and the throne. Sergio had a large role in making the rose society a stronger group and his hinted romance with Violetta was quite cute.

I'm off to London today 💂 . . . I finished A Man Called Ove this week, and I don't think I've ever cried so much over a book! Ove is a grumpy old man, and has been all his life - or does he just know what he likes? The book begins with Ove considering the best way to kill himself, but his neighbours just won't leave him alone. This is such a heartwarming story, and Ove reminds me so much of my own grandad that reading this was so much more upsetting! 😢 It's a book that makes you laugh, cry and experience every emotion in between! 📖 . . . . #bookish #bookreview #catmug #crazycatlady #instabook #bookstagram #booknerd #ilovereading #igreads #bibliophile #cosy #catstagram

A History of the World in 100 Objects by Neil MacGregor - a brilliant selection of objects and the book really benefits from having been a radio show first: the language is open and accessible and there are a wide range of other voices quoted, not just academic historians (for example Gus O'Donnell, former head of the British Civil Service, comments on the earliest artefact of state bureaucracy). An entertaining and fascinating read. 5* #bookreview

W nowej książce autor zabiera nas w podróż ulicami tętniącego życiem Nowego Jorku oraz Paryża - miasta sztuki, artystów i wielu tajemnic. Powraca znana czytelnikom młoda policjantka Madeline, która postanawia wynająć w Paryżu mieszkanie. W wyniku nieporozumienia w to samo miejsce trafia dramatopisarz Gaspard. Madeline i Gaspard podejmują próbę rozwiązania zagadki.
