Hace aproximadamente una semana y media inicié un proceso de entrenamiento de power building aprendido en @complexschool con el @coachcaliquiros. Debo admitir que cada día quiero levantar más peso y mejorar la técnica. El #benchpress es un ejercicio que pocas veces había tenido en mis entrenamientos, pero por ser un ejercicio multi articular y uno de los base de esta técnica de entrenamiento, decidí incluirlo y he empezado a agarrarle el gusto. Esta vez levante 84 lb x 5 repeticiones. Ooo!!! What a fucking great pump and session today. Thanks to @progressbarbell for words of commands for the pause presses today and that motivation. So today was day one of my own sort of strength program for comp. So it was warming up to working sets of 105kg for 5sets of 6reps ( video is 2nd set ) . A good 3 single pauses of 110kg ( not shown ) 120kg and 130kg. Get to learn those words of commands. Benching felt really good and strong today. Calories up to 3200 full of energy. After the bench had a good play around with the 50s! Felt good 2sets of 8reps and 1set of 5reps to end a good heavy session. To give an idea of my program for this its 6days training. 3days at 70/80% effort and 3days at 50/60%. With accessories. Core too and will still add cardio in this for the heart :) . Still tweaking and i have the numbers in mind for my openers. So yes for a tuesday it been bloody brilliant! So the #transformationtuesday part of the post is with my bench itself. To think 120kg was at one point a struggle now without sounding arrogant tis a piece of piss now lol! Being consistent and focusing on strength programming. its amazing to see how far i have come. What you also see is me mentally fighting wanting to quit, almost giving in to failing, looking for an excuse to just..... say that it’s enough, settle for mediocrity and wait for the conditions to be better. If there’s anything I’ve learnt in life, it’s this...You’ve got to go forward without the conditioning being better. We sometimes put life on hold because we are waiting for the situations to clear up. What I’ve learnt, is that you’ve got to do the work, while you’re getting punched in the face!
