#judgemenot. - If you see me give you one of my vague smiles at a PTM, I promise you I am not a snob. I have twins. Keeping up with conversations and knowing 60 odd moms is serious memory issues. Don't label me as snooty and high-handed. Just don't judge me. - I love going out for lunches alone. And yes I do love to guzzle a beer when I am waiting for my food. Don't label me a slut just because I am alone and try to strike a conversation with me. It's my "me time" and I am allowed it. No one questions me. No, don't judge me. - I can be completely unlady like and belt out the choicest of hindi abuses. If you are hearing them, chances are that you pushed me to do so. I am not high on patience and I don't regret it. Yep, still don't judge me. - I can be the mum who will be more than willing to leave the kids with their dad and head off somewhere to take a day off. I do love my boys, but sometimes they can just get on to me. - I can send the boys to bed without food when they throw a tantrum. And I have no regrets when I do that. The one who whole heartedly supports me in this is my mum in law. I do not feel guilty. Don't judge me that I am a bad mom.
Judging is the most easiest thing to do. And we all love to do it. Don't we? Why can't we accept a person the way they are and not label them?
I am working on a part of these series where I want to talk about what's shushed about. Reach out. Mental illness is not a taboo. Given our hectic lifestyles it's natural to be overwhelmed because you may not be playing one role to perfection. And it is ok.
