Let’s talk about nutrition, shall we? 😉
Like many women, my relationship with food wasn’t always an easy one. I grew up with a mother who always was trying to loose weight, but didn’t make any efforts towards sports/ movements, or at least healthy food. Since children learn how to eat as they watch their parents, I thought this is the right way for many years. It wasn’t until 5 years ago that I started eating healthy at all. I’m not one of those vegans who point with their fingers on others, all I am saying is that ( FOR ME) going vegan was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I lost a lot of weight without being on a diet, my digestion got better, my energy increased, and I got happier in general.
I started eating intuitively, which means I only eat when I’m hungry and I let my body tell me what it needs. And guess what - the more I started to trust my body, the less I needed junk food. I will always prefer healthy, high quality food over sugar- and fat infused crap. Not because society tells me to, but because my cravings have shifted.
I strongly believe that it matters what you put IN your body, as well as it matters what you do WITH your body to achieve a balance (physically AND mentally). Don’t get me wrong here: occasionally I enjoy a vegan Burger with fries or a glass of wine. That’s part of a balanced life. All I am saying is, that I started to listen to my body and have trust in what it is telling me. Therefore I don’t give a damn about what the scale says.
This makes life so much more fun and easier 😘
