As some of you know I work in the landscape industry and I’ve grown to LOVE plants! Landscape can get expensive so I do most of the work myself. A few yard tips I have to beautify your yard this spring are below👇🏻 and my backyard tour is on my stories, also check out @thrillofhome page for her Cali garden tips!
•To save money find friends who want to get rid of plants and transplant small ones or grow from seed. I start my seeds inside and put them outside when night temps are almost in 50s
•use evergreens if you live places like NM where plants go dormant in the winter, evergreens stay colorful during the winter and come in many colors
•in your pots do thrill, spill, and fill, center tall piece, fill with flowers, and spill over vine (you can buy cheap pre made ones)
•it’s also good to plant things that bloom at all different times of year so you always have blooms- my rosemary blooms in early spring and my crape myrtle blooms in summer and I have many plants In between or that bloom till winter
•lastly, create your own compost with foods, coffee grounds, etc or plant water thirsty plants by grass so they get watered with overspray and you save some water.
Happy planting- a beautiful outdoor space can totally improve your mood❤️❤️ (this beautiful plant is a smoke bush BTW) at Albuquerque, New Mexico
