I mean…the blue hour…that velvety blue tinge in the sky, enveloping you in a giant warm hug before the sun wakes up…..what’s not to love about it?? It’s kind of spooky and mysterious, perched on the edges of uneven rocks, with just the alternating gentle and loud roar of the ocean as the tide comes in, but yet….a certain calmness and tranquillity too. This is really my absolute fave time of the day. Before the noise of cars and people and planes and dogs barking….just this. Maybe the older I get, the less interested I am in all that clutter and noise. The thought of attending a concert or a festival or anywhere where large groups congregate, well I’d rather be slapped in the face with a dead fish. When I embarked on a 4-day Inca Trail in Peru a few years ago, I had no idea that THAT would be the best part of the whole experience, it certainly was not arriving at Machu Picchu, so many people, and buses, and noise and BUSY. I don’t even like bars or nightclubs or actually, even restaurants during dinner hour……am I becoming anti-social?? I dunno, what do you think? .
