Last post from Chitown is reserved for the special place that is @roisterchicago from the genius mind of @grant_achatz chef @a_brochu and @thealineagroup .
After seeing Alinea on chefs table my mind changed about food forever. Roister takes the same attention to detail and quality of service and applies it in a more casual way. Couldn’t leave here without sampling a bit of everything off their brunch menu 🙌🏾
Neuskies smoked bacon (SO good with the perfect combo of Smokey/sweet flavor), fried chicken sandwich (chamomile mayo was bonkers), yuca fries with a tamarind sauce, chicken and waffles (honey butter and whiskey syrup 🤤), aged cheddar rillettes (bread was pillow soft and perfect with the touch of truffle oil in the cheddar rillettes), and lastly the hot and sour soup with raw ginger, mushrooms, peppers and cabbage that was harmony in a bowl. Great last meal in Chicago and I will be back (mostly because the A-5 Wagyu burger was sold out and I need this in my life 😅). See ya next time Chitown! at Chicago, Illinois
