For the last week this has been my reality. Midwest allergies. When I moved here 3 years ago, I was in urgent care 7 times the first year. Steroids & antibiotics. I promised myself I would find a way or move away. Desperately researching anti inflammatory lifestyles I thankfully stumbled upon a ketogenic nutritional protocol. It provided much relief. I was able to slowly heal the damage from the steroids and antibiotics, stabilize blood sugar, and switch over to utilizing fat for metabolism instead of glucose which greatly reduced the inflammation. Since following keto, I’ve not had anymore urgent care visits, zero respiratory issues during allergy season. However, my eyes still get attacked. The pain and itching is greater then any other physical pain I’ve endured outside of 6 natural child births. 😂
So, my plan is to overcome my environmental factors by eliminating things that don’t want me to eat them (like certain plants), give dairy a break, continue bone broth fasting, healthy animals and adding local organic bee pollen to my daily do’s. I moved here 13 years ago and had to have nose surgery, hit black ice, and moved back home to San Diego.
Both times I moved here I had beautiful intentions and both times I suffered. I am using my time here to go to school and hoping I can reasonably adapt while here.
