Okay soooo I’ve added salmon back into my diet because of how nutritionally dense it is. For some time now I’ve been having extreme soreness and joint pain, mainly in my legs and one of salmons benefits is joint inflammation (along with many others). I always try and stick to the most ethical/clean brands to support my values and beliefs on animal products and the industry itself 👉🏻 but for now my health takes priority. It’s an #abbswithabs kinda day. I work my core out around 3X a week because I want a strong foundation. ✨ Keep your back pressed into the bench for these exercises so that you don’t have any back extension. This can lead to back pain and injury. ➖ ❌ Zigzag crunches (lol made that up but if you have a better name for these comment below!) ❌ Candlestick pulses ❌ Deadbugs ❌ Leg raises (these are a staple in my ab workouts) ➖ Are you working out today? Run home from work and then Day 4 of the 40 day sit up challenge i set myself. Day 1 is 25 sit ups, add 25 each day. On another note there is nothing more annoying than the gps signal being messed up during a run! #tonedtuesdays I call these advanced bicycles, the ball isnt necessary but that’s what makes them advanced holding it makes you contract your abs more it also helps with toning up the arms. This is an easy workout that can be done anywhere. I did my usual 30 after completing the motion with both legs that would count as 1 rep. This workout is pretty simple and a very common workout, but some advice I was given was don’t try to keep just your head up, keep your shoulders up that makes you contract your abs and get maximum results.

[SWIPE▶️▶️▶️] Lets call this one, “The Power of the Plank” 😂 I don’t know about you guys but for years I’ve half assed my core workouts 😬 I’ve relied on my main lifts and my diet, mostly, to build my core. And while the combination of those two can be VERY effective for learning how to brace/use your core and maybe see them poke through every now and then- it’s takes a little more effort than that 😬. Your core is a muscle group just like any other. So, if we want to build strength in our core, we actually have to work, and isolate our core... every now and then. I’m not saying do 1000 crunches everyday, god knows that would get old, but get creative like you do with all your other lifts, and prioritize it. I’ve been throwing a solid chunk of core work in 2 times a week lately, not with the intention of building a 6-pack (though, hey... that would be okay too 😂😂) but more for the practice of learning how to actually utilize and build the strength my core holds. It will carry over to ALL OTHER AREAS of your lifts. As adults, we usually need the most help in this area. So before we go lift a thousand pounds... let’s learn how to utilize the strength that comes from our core 👍🏻 This lil’ plank circuit KILLED- let me know what you think! After 2 speed sessions i did my favourite pace today slug pace. 7 lovely chilled miles road & trail which got me thinking. Running is such a learning curve & im learning new things about myself all the time. . . . I love sharing my journey Running doesnt solve eveything I think maybe im a bit feral . I am stronger than i think. I need to eat more food . .Strength training is a must for me im nolonger scared of getting big arms.( well not too big. Big enough to knock someone out on my run if needed Also Strength training is essential to keeping my jeans up with a arse.
