Toddlers understand things most easily when they recognise them from their daily life. So books about getting dressed, animals, the seasons, have always become firm favourites in our classroom. I’ve been reading this copy of “Hairy Maclary” since my children were toddlers (they are now 18 and 16). I love the easy rhyme, the different dogs’ characters, and the way the children respond. It’s a book I’m happy to read again and again. Which is a good thing, as toddlers love reading the same book over and over 😅.
