Hey Zoltar, can you predict my future?
Can you make my past go away?
Can you make me invisible from the fears that keep me stuck?
Can you make my body look sexier?

I'm in ALL my glory spending this long Easter weekend in Bowen Sound with my mother-in-law who had lived here for 71 years!
She is "weaving fanna" today (making a tightly woven basket made from straw) and I am thrilled to have been able to get a short video to share with all my Andros lovers!
Straw work is also one of the most important manifestations of the creativity of the Androsian people.
The term ‘straw’ refers to narrow strips of the fibrous dried leaves of several varieties of palms and plants that grow wild in The Bahamas. Three of the most important sources of this material are the coconut palm, the silver palm which flourishes in the pineyards of Andros, and the sisal plant. The straw becomes ‘straw work’ when it is woven or plaited, using various patterns, to create utilitarian or decorative products.
