Watermill, Lower Slaughter
Been struggling a bit for the last few weeks, but I finally managed to drag myself out, and I went to stay with a friend in Gloucestershire. First port of call was Bidbury, but to my horror, the lovely Arlington Row was crammed with several (at least 2, maybe 3!!) coach loads of tourists. It was impossible to get a nice shot, so feeling even more despondent, I simply got back in my car and drove.
As I travelled, I went through this stunningly peaceful little village. It was devoid of tourists, so I went for an idle wander, enjoying the complete peace that the village exudes.
As I got to the mill, the grey skies broke, and a big beam of sunlight hit the wall. It looked amazing, so I shot as many photos as I could! For the next hour or so, the sun broke through in short spells, and that dirty black cloud just continued on over. Didn't dump it's load on where I was thankfully, tho I pity those that did cop it!!
The weather kind of reflected my mental state...there may be a big black cloud looming over me at the moment, but I should enjoy the moments of sunshine when they come, and hey...maybe there's a message here. The shit didn't dump on me...it sailed over🤔
