There are lots more in my posts earlier this week. 1.. The Austrian designer Robert Stadler curated Typecasting for Vitra by arranging its furniture - old and new - in groups with similar temperaments, including Athletes, Dreamers, Slashers and Spartans. 2. One of the elegantly ingenious LED chandeliers designed by the London-based, Cypriot-born designer Michael Anastassiades for Flos, and exhibited in its Corso Monforte showroom. 3. Sara Ricciardi designed a preview of Legacy, an exhibition curated by Alice Stori Liechtenstein and featuring the work of 19 young designers. Legacy opens next month at Schloss Hollenegg in Austria. Photo by Delfino Sisto Legnani. 4. Canteen Curriculum is an experiment in cooking and eating pasta as a catalyst for debate. Curated by Tamar Shafrir and Martina Muzi for Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, it is part of the Alcova cluster of shows in a derelict Panettone factory. Photo by Donghwan Kam. 5. Piovenfabi’s inspiration for the Metrò collection of furniture was the 1960s design of Milan’s new subway system by Franco Albini, Franca Helg and Bob Noorda. Piovene’s Metrò series reinterprets the architecture of the city’s first subway stations, designed in the 1960’s by Franco Albini and Franca Helg, together with graphic designer Bob Noorda.
