"I was excited to witness the sunset at this magical place. Every time I see a mosque like this — with all its details, patterns, and colors — my thoughts take me back in time. I can't help but wonder how on Earth people were able to create such masterpieces, how they cared so deeply about each and every detail, and how they poured in all of their efforts to make their creations perfect." Designated as the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature, Edinburgh touts its illustrious literary past just as much as it celebrates its modern authors. From “Waverley” to “Trainspotting,” a love of good literature seems to emanate from the hidden alleyways and uneven cobbles of this storied city. "I arrived at the famous Lahore Fort in the center of the bustling city as I always do — I've been photographing the site for a decade and had assumed that I'd seen all that the area offered. Then, sounds of rickshaws, roadside vendors, and prayers from Sikh temples converged at once like a heartbeat, forming a rhythm that led me toward a small but stunning Mughal-era mosque made of marble. I'd never seen it before. As I entered, all sound stopped. The only person in sight was engaged in a deep, emotional prayer. It was a welcoming omen as I explored every corner of the mosque in the morning light." 📷@mobeenansariphoto 📍Lahore, Pakistan 🇵🇰 #passionpassport at Lahore, Pakistan

"We often come here early in the morning to watch the waves, swim, and recharge. Each dive in is like an icy shower jolting you awake — no coffee required. And with the increase in hot weather lately, this is all we feel like doing pretty much every second of the day." Want to dive into Sydney's waters yourself? Arid desert expanses. Crushing ocean depths. Predator-heavy forests. Earth’s myriad and ever-changing landscapes barely seem hospitable but are often inhabited by an animal kingdom hell-bent on survival. These creatures have adapted to astonishing evolutionary circumstances, and #HostilePlanet examines some of the world’s harshest and most unique environments to shed light on these species’ quest to endure. Watch life thrive in the most unlikely conditions in this new six-part series hosted by Bear Grylls on @NatGeoChannel. #ad 📷: @kylepters

"I woke up to a promising weather report and decided to drive to Brockenbahn in Harz National Park, a two-hour drive from my hometown of Erfurt. When I arrived, it looked like Lapland: everything was frozen, from the snowy ground to the tops of the trees. As I waited for the train, the sound of its distant horn took my mind back to my favorite old Western films — though it wasn't long before the cold jolted me back to the arctic sunset. In that moment, I was glad I'd followed my spontaneous whim." Did you know that Germany is one of the friendliest countries for solo travelers? "I was exploring Ait-Ben-Haddou, an ancient town in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, and enjoying the sandy desert breeze. When I climbed to the top of the fortress, I was met with a stunning view of the surrounding valley and couldn’t resist taking a picture. I felt so tiny among the centuries-old ruins, and the landscape inspired me so much that I could easily see why many directors have chosen to film movies and TV shows here. The experience reminded me that, even though we’re such small and imperfect creatures, what we do can remain in history for ages and leave an impact on future generations. I’m happy to live in a world that lets me travel, not just across continents but also through time." Want to see more of Morocco?
