Fall Color Update -Saturday, November 11
Colors are at past-peak on the Devil’s Hall Trail, but there is a good amount of color remaining so it is still a good time to do this spectacular hike.
In McKittrick Canyon, from the first stream crossing to the Grotto, color is at peak. Some leaves are starting to fall, so this is the last weekend to see color at peak conditions. Remnants of color may last until the next weekend, but will most likely be gone by Thanksgiving.
Color change at Smith Springs is moderate.
Color conditions at Dog Canyon are past-peak. SR137 remains closed, but backpackers may hike over to camp and/or get water. …and remember trailhead parking fills early. We encourage you to carpool if possible. @naturenps @healthyparkshealthypeople @nationalparkservice @usinterior #nps101 #findyourpark #encuentratuparque 📷B. Kennedy
