Finisher❗️❗️ Perfect finisher for an end of a class or if you dare.....leg day!! At the end of circuits last night I thought I would treat the guys to a very special song. “Bring Sally Up, Bring Sally Down” We did this with weighted squats but you can also do it with up and downs or press ups. All you need to do is listen to the lyrics of the song and when “Sally Down” is said you squat down and when “Sally Up” is said you drive up to the top position of a squat. Lying single arm cable fly Yesterday I did a chest workout and decided to give the cable fly a bash as was getting bored of the standard fly. With the lying down cable fly you can solely concentrate on a single side at a time. These may be useful if you have have one side weaker than the other or even if you’ve had an injury on the one side so just want to work that. By using the cable machine for flys it means there is constant tension on the pec even at the top of the exercise which using Dumbbells doesn’t do. You always might be thinking why are you lying on the floor instead of a bench?! By lying on the floor it means my elbows can only go down to the ground which puts less stress on my shoulders and because I had issues with my left shoulder earlier in the year I decided not to risk it yet. #chestworkout #cableflys #floorexercise #pecs #fit #training #rogue #instagym #singlearm #chestfly #instaworkout #fitness #gym #fitbit

Quick session on legs today as I was running tight with time. Sessions don’t need to be 2 hours long with 10 exercises within them. Keep it simple and effective. Everyone’s body reacts differently to certain exercises, so find the ones that give you a great session in the least amount of time if you are rushing. I hit 3 exercises with legs today 1: Back squat x3 2: Lunges x3 3: Stiff leg deadlift x3 For the last set of each exercise I did a drop set. Hamstrings are almost always forgotten about. ❌Client update ❌ Been working with Regan for the last couple months now and he’s made some great progress since the start. Main areas he wanted to focus on was was gaining size on his arms and losing some inches around the waist. Smashing out some overhead squats during the week After that dodgy first rep I found my composure and repped out a few more out. For me starting to add these into my training for for something slightly different. Lying Barbell Row This is a completely new exercise for me and took me half my time trying to get on it as it’s high....well for me it is 😂 Just a nice light weight to get use to the exercise and to focus on stretching those lats out at the bottom. With back exercises I tend to go with a narrow grip ( so about shoulder width) reason being i feel a better contraction with this but if you tend to go wide you can as the handles are long. The last week or two I’ve had a slight niggle in my left shoulder due to having a very tight pectoral minor. After having a sports massage and taking a good few days off training I’m back I’m back training. With lots of warm up sets just using the bar and also using some resistance bands to stretch I’m finally benching with no pain. This is the first time I’ve been able to bench even 55kg for reps in a while, so time to slowly work on strengthening that pec. Fancy trying something new for legs? Why not try the Zercher Squat Zercher squat is similar to a front squat by hitting those quads. Instead of having the bar resting on top of the front delts,hold the bar in the bend of your arms and then continue like you would do a normal back squat.
